Jaguars Richard Collier shot: life-threatening injuries

Richard Collier, Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle has been shot while he waited for a woman outside an apartment early on Tuesday morning. Authorities say that Collier has sustained life-threatening injuries.

Collier, 26, was waiting in a car with former Jaguars player Kenneth Pettway, when a gunman shot into the vehicle. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ken Jefferson said that Collier was shot several times, it was not clear where he was hit.
Richard Collier was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, where he is in a critical condition. As yet there are no clues as to the motive of the attack. The sheriff’s office is now investigating the shooting.
