Levi Johnston MySpace page describes Bristol Palin baby father

The news that Bristol was pregnant came to light on Labor Day, and was a shock to thousands of Republicans. A number of residents of the tiny town of Wasilla, Alaska, have been telling many news outlets that they have known about the romance for some time now.

Levi Johnston’s MySpace page describes himself as a “fucking redneck.” Well it now seems that Levi and Bristol have now become one of the biggest news stories over the past few days. This will only intensify as people decide whether this is good for John McCain’s choice for Vice President.

I dont see a myspace page for this guy

  • Peter

I have just done a little digging, and his MySpace page went private yesterday.

  • joe

It will be very hard to throw support behind this team. McCain has not shown me anything that makes me want to move forward with a vote in November.

  • lisa magee

Sarah Palin should respectfully decline her position right now. Too many children so little time. Not realistic she can co-run a country and a household of way too many. Not even Superwoman could do it! And honestly I don’t trust her being second in position God forbid they win. I only have one word for their ticket..SCARY!

  • Charles

Wow, if everyone who had a 17 year old daughter that was pregnant were to resign or quit thier jobs, more than half this country’s labor force would be unemployed.
She may not be a superwoman, but she has as much experience, if not more, than the Democrat Presidential candidate, now that’s what I call scary.

  • lisel

I wonder if Bill O’reilly and others like him will bash Bristol Palin as they did to Jamie Lynn Spears and others.

  • ms gill

welll – no class with the description but he’s a hunk & if Palin drops out he will probably be offered a modeling career if he’ll leave alaska & clean up his language. But oh I forget he’s a teen & they say things like that. But then the Obama girls don’t so I dunno~~~~~

  • Marc

Are you people serious? If you believe that this is his myspace page why don’t you just do your part to combat global warming and put a plastic bag over your head. Obviously someone set this page up to make fun of him. Get a life people, if perfect morals and family were a pre requisite for great politicians where would all of your heroes be (clintons and kennedys) but i guess we can overlook adultery, lying under oath, more adultry, manslaughter (google chapaquitik – not sure about spelling) but not having a family and getting pregnant at 17.

  • DF

The Obama Biden ticket just won the election.
Sorry Repubs…this ticket just became a huge joke.
Who can can trust McCain now, with that as his first important decision? She is absolutely not the person for that important job, and it will cost him.

  • Donna G

    Dear Charles:
Sarah Palin for the past year and 1/2 has been governor of a state that rates 47th in population when compared to other states in our great country. She has been presiding over a state whose entire population is 670,053, (compare that number to Illinois’ 13th District Population which is 653,647). Before that she was the mayor of a town whose population was 9000. She did not have a passport until 2007has traveled only to Kuwait, Ireland, and Germany. Presidential historian Matthew Dallek recently noted that he thinks she is the most inexperienced person on a major-party ticket in modern history and added to that, “It would be one thing if she had only been governor for a year and a half, but prior to that she had not had major experience in public life. The fact that McCain would have to go to somebody who is clearly unqualified to be president makes Obama look like an elder statesman.”

    In contrast:
Obama was first elected to Office in 1996 in Illinois, a state he had lived and worked in for 7 years. He served in that capacity until 2004 when we was then elected to the US Senate from Illinois. (The population of Illinois as of 2006 incidentally was 12,831,970).

After graduating from Columbia University with a BA in Political Science (emphasis in International Relations), Obama worked for Business International Corporation, as a research associate in the general intenatioanl business information division (NY). He then switched jobs and went to work for the New York Public Interest Research Group, a non-partisan activist organization started by Ralph Nader. Obama then moved to Chicago.

From 1985-1988 Obama worked as a grassroots neighborhood organizer on the South Side of Chicago. He worked primarily with two public housing projects to start college prep programs, job training programs and other community oriented activities.

Obama then went to Harvard Law School in 1988. While at Harvard Obama received national headlines for becoming the First African-American President of Harvard Law Review. He graduated Magna Cum Laude.

After earning his JD from Harvard, Obama moved back to Chicago to work on Illinois Project Vote, which resulted in 150k newly registered voters in Cook County (Chicago). In 1993 he went to work for Miner, Barnhill and Galland. At that firm he worked on voter rights and employment litigation, real estate transactions involving not-for-profits and low income and mixed income housing projects. He also served during this time as general counsel for local Health Clinics, Social Service Agencies and Charter Schools.

Also in 1993 Barack became a legal professor at the University of Chicago. He taught constitutional law. He continued to work at the Law School up until the time he was elected to the US Senate.

Obama has never worked for corporate America, except for his time with Business International Corporation, which was later bought by the Economist. The law firm he worked for focused primarily on assisting not-for-profits partnering up with corporations to provide low and mixed income housing in poor communities throughout Chicago.

In other words, Palin makes Obama look like John Adams, when one takes the care to honestly compare their experience and achievements.

Just thought you could use some facts.

  • DebiAnn

Why couldn’t McCain have picked a VP like Elizabeth Dole if he must pick a female? Family values? This woman has a pregnant child, a wild card furture son in law, a husband with a drinking problem an infant who will require tons of extra care not to mention her other kids? This soon out of the shoot and all of this comes to light.

It is obvivous that McCain made an impulsive snap to judgement just to get a woman on the ticket. While she was running in beauty pagents Obama was helping to stop gang violence in Chicago. There is no question McCain has messed up. Nothing against her really, but she had no idea what a Vice President even does before she accepted the offer.

There is so much wrong with his choice on so many levels.

    Deb

  • DebiAnn

    And Marc,

This has nothing to do with morals or experience. Judgement is key here.

  • Jake

Are we sure this was REALLY John McCain’s choice VP? I think she was showed down his throat just like Bush/Cheney were showed down our throats for the last 8 years.

That brings me to another comparison.
Cheney = Palin = Big Oil
    Anymore anyone?

    I see another Bush/Cheney in McCain/Palin

Another 4 years of McPain for US….

  • Coronella Keiper

Does Levi Johnston calling himself a red-neck mean that he does not need to be paid to marry the teen who made sure to get pregnant by a man who has stated that he did not want children, period? Or is he smart enough to look at the political scene, at the moneyed interests involved, and to demand a large sum immediately if he is expected to marry the teen and to keep his mouth shut (until after the election, at least.) He seems to be very comfortable with a reputation for selfishness. This is a new situation for him to be in, however. The movie “The Godfather” comes to mind.

So the Republicans are whining that the Dems have not respected their privacy. I’m certain if the tables were turned they would have printed every tiny detail including his myspace page. What I don’t understand is why is everyone saying the kids should be off limits. Hey, if you are old enough to make a baby–you are no longer a child!

  • valgal

The MAIN ISSUE here is that Sarah Palin SPOUTS abstinence-only and will NOT support any form of sex education. Therefore, her daughter didn’t learn how to put a condom on her boyfriend cause her mama doesn’t believe in birth control! Amazing how these repugnicans spout about morality, but can’t keep it in their pants.
PALIN and McShame deserve each other. They’re both ignorant arrogant power-hungry shameful excuses of “Americans”.
    OBAMA 08!!!
And to the uninformed people who say she has as much experience as OBAMA, that is just plain BS!!!

  • valgal

McShame couldn’t find another repugnican to go down with the sinking ship, so he got stuck with the power-hungry, ignorant, hypocritical PALIN…..
    what a joke.

  • Kay

    Worst part?

    Status: In a relationship
    Wants Kids? No

    Nice.

More fun? As Alaska’s Governor, Sarah Palin axed the funding for programs which helped unmarried teenaged girls who got pregnant and kept the child, but didn’t have family willing to help them. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/02/palin_slashed_funding_to_help.html?hpid=artslot

PALIN IS DEFINATELY A WOMAN WHICH MAKES HER A MOTHER, WIFE AND DAUGHTER,,,,,NOT A VP OF THE USA……..OBAMA ROCKS!!!!! IF THEY REALLY WANT THE RIGHT WOMAN FOR THE RIGHT JOB THEN IT SHOULD BE HILLARY CLINTON!! SHE WORKED AND CAMPAINGED HARD AND DESERVE THE RESPECT AS THE FIRST POLICTICAL HIGHLIGHT OF PRESIDENCY!!!

  • MIKE

SARAH PALIN SEEM LIKE SHE HAS MORE LUGGAGE THAN THE AIRFORCE1 HOLDS AND SHE HAS NOT YET ABOARDED THE FLIGHT…….AS A REPUBLICAN I’VE JUST SWITCHED PARTIES! IF THAT’S MCLAIN FIRST RULE OF HIM BEING IN GOV’T THEN WERE IN TROUBLE! OBAMA 08!

  • p doris

Hello there Donna—your posting on Palin regarding experience—just a quick question— you note that she has “only” traveled to XYZ and Kawait–when’s the last time you visited Kawait or any other hostile nation? You should really try to take a trip — I am sure you will find it most unfit and you will run back to our great nation! I love this land and I love these colors. I have been to kawait and many other nations — I am always, always ready willing and more than blessed to return home to my nation, the nation of freedom, the nation I proudly served and defended, this nation, our nation I would give my life for!

  • Whitey

From what I heard yesterday ( Tuesday ), the Levi guy has not made plans to marry ANYBODY! He was reported to have said he had NO plans to marry.
So whomever said he was going to marry the babymama ( Bristol ) might be premature.

  • tom

Funny how most democrats start spinning the rigors of raising 5 children into a political issue, complaining about the different problems of Sarah Palin’s daughter and husband. They try to compare her resume to their party’s leader resume. Well at least she is honest. Wait until America gets to see Obama’s undergraduate records which he currently won’t release. Then they can compare Obama’s cocaine use to Sara Palin’s husbands DUI. Which is worse. Also, as far as judgement goes, how can a whole party be so quick to judge their candidate fit to Actually become the President Of The United States, when his credentials are so minimal that they HAVE TO USE THE REPUBLICAN’S VP to try and measure up to. It is the most lame excuse of an argument I have ever witnessed. What a joke they have for a nominee.

  • Robert

Yeah, before McCain chose her I was a little iffy about supporting him and now it’s official: I can’t support McCain. He’s shown very poor judgement in choosing this person as his VP. There were many, many more qualified women and men out there to be his VP. I’ll be voting for Obama in November.

  • Charles Elliot

According to Ed Koch, Abortion will determine this election. If 18 year old Ann Dumham chose abortion over life, Hillary would surely be our next President and I would be paying $6 a gallon for gas. If 17 year old Briston Palin chose abortion over life, McCain’s pole figures would be higher and I would be paying less than $3 for a gallon of gas! If your reading Ed, I think “Abortion” determined the outcome of this election before it got started!

  • J

I liked the article that Kay posted:
    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/02/palin_slashed_funding_to_help.html?hpid=artslot
This one article shows that Palin is indeed a bad amoral person. It’s too bad that karma somehow tends to escape people like Palin. I mean, sure her daughter’s pregnant, but her daughter will have the comfort of a successful (rich) family to help ease the pain of becoming an adult at 17. If Palin were to reap what she has sown through her actions, Palin and her family should be homeless, jobless, and have to take care of both the Downs baby and her daughter’s baby; maybe then she would have some compassion.
Furthermore, I think it is really funny how half of America believe (on some level whether conscious or not) that it is OK to reward and embrace cruelty, greed, and truly immoral behavior (such as Palin’s actions here and Bush and Chenney’s past 8 years of evil ).
I am sorry to say that if this is what 1/2 of this country’s citizens have become and accept, OUR country is headed for the toilet and internal collapse regardless of who wins the election.
    Rome, here we come!!!

  • Donna

    Dear p doris:

I am well traveled, but that is beside the point, I am not running for the office of vice president. After traveling abroad, it has always been great to come home back home to the good old USofA.

I appreciate your love of our flag colors and our country but I’m completely perplexed as to how an honest assessment of qualifications turned into an oration created to inform me of your love of country? I want to sinderely thank you for your service, if you have served.

If we are going to link this conversation to love of country, then I will say I think we should all love our country enough to dig into the actual facts of this election and vote intelligently. That means looking at the track record and actual public service experience of those who will hold the highest office in the land. That means knowing enough about the issues to be able to determine which candidate most closely matches your views. That also means that when politicians pander, you will have the ability to see through it, and that you cannot be easily manipulated by ploys to appeal to knee jerk reactions ( blind ideaology) or base instincts, (fear mongering).

    I wish you well…

  • Mr. Smith

    DebiAnn,
I did not realize gang violence had stopped in Chicago. If thats the case then maybe we should send Obama to all the other cities with gang problems and let him fix those places too. WOW what a guy he is.

  • Teri

I think Sara Palin is a very brave and strong woman. I also believe very strongly that there is no reason at all that she cannot handle job and family. After all, she’s doing just that right now. think of the Governor of a state as a mini-president. After all, the Gov. *IS* President of their respective state.

She has no control over the fact that her teen is pregnant. And, don’t give me that “should have been a better mother” routine. You cannot watch your children 24 hours a day. At that age, they are going to find a way to do what they want when they want. It’s life, it’s a fact, and it’s PRIVATE! That should be completely OFF LIMITS to the press.

There may be Democrats (and others) out there criticizing, but unless they’ve worn the same shoes, they have no business saying anything more than what they *believe* they might do if they found themselves in the same situation.

And, as far as criticism is concerned, I have not heard Obama say anything other than encouraging words on this matter, and I’d bet that he’d like to see this controversy dropped, and Sara’s children left alone by the whoremongering press.

  • Dennis

Great mom – crappy VP. God I hate politics…

  • Mary Ann

I have doubts about anyone who would allow or encourage their 17 yr old daughter to marry a guy who posts such thoughts on his myspace page. Bristol should be encouraged to further her education so she take care of herself and her baby. It would be cruel to saddle her with a husband like Levi Johnston. Raise your baby young lady, use birth control and don’t turn one unfortunate event into two. You can do it and you are worthy!

  • Victor

I really pity young Bristol. How could she have ever known that she will become the centre of world attention with her unfortunately unplanned pregnancy. I think that Sarah was very selfish to push herself forward at this time with absolutely no regard to what will happen to the young girl. If she understands what politics is all about, she should have known that she was putting this little girl in the path of psychological damage coming out this time. Now the GOP is planning to put Bristol on the big stage with a boy who does not even love her. Her mother should have declined this nomination this time. In eight years she will still be 52 years and her family more secure.

  • Ryan

“Hello there Donna—your posting on Palin regarding experience—just a quick question— you note that she has “only” traveled to XYZ and Kawait–when’s the last time you visited Kawait or any other hostile nation? Terrible point.
The fact that Palin has not traveled anywhere should be under fire.
If you haven’t travelled, you cannot base your views of the world properly enough in order to be in a position of power like vice president. It can make you extremely vulnerable to become naive to other peoples customs and traditions.
Also, I’m not impressed by her visit to Kuwait.
Ooooh, she is so brave to travel to Kuwait while being protected by a heavily guarded base!
    … yawn.

Also, When you go to countries, learn how to spell the name of the country correctly.

As a former Obama supporter, I am absolutely disgusted with the LOW ROAD that the Obama campaign has chosen to take. The campaign started with a message of hope and change. What is this?? I trul had hoped that the ugly Chicago Style Politic would stay in Chicago. After the smearing of this poor woman and her family, I/m done.

McCain, you’ve just gained another supporter.

why didn’t palin recognize levi during her speech ? Christ sakes he sat beside bristol ,walked out on stage with the rest of the family and not to mention the cameras were focused on him quite a bit. I thought country and family were first. All I say is OBAMA 08 if you know whats good for you dont be deceived.

  • lilmo

I think Gov. Palin is very selfish and put her own political gain above that of her family and her daughter. As a mother, that is a position I would have declined if offered to me under the current state of my family. I would feel that it would be more important for my daughter to know that she has my full support, rather than try to campaign and plan a SHOT GUN Wedding!

  • Allikf

    Morris–
Have you been paying attention? Obama was the first to say that all this stuff about her family was off limits. A sentiment that has been repeated by every member of the campaign that is asked by the press for comments. How is that a “LOW ROAD” or a “smear”? Personally I think all this talk about her family has little to do with how she would handle of office of VP. More important is her record. As governor she cut funding for social programs that help young mothers learn the skills they need to support their families and as mayor she ran a town of 6000 people into $20M of debt. This is not the kind of governance our country needs.

No one has proved too me that tag is sarah palin’s baby… i know it sounds way crazy to think the baby could be bristol’s but look at the facts the pictures of a non pregnant sarah just a month before she supposedly had the child…. her daughter was taken out of school because of “mono” (seems she found time to have sex) then a sitting govenor didn’t tell anyone of the pregnancy till she was 7 1/2 months pregnant… her water breaks in texas and she fly 14 hours in all to get back to alaska only to by past the main hospital to drive 30 miles further to have the child???? sounds fishy too me. i look for bristol to have a “miscarriage soon” shes not pregnant shes already had her baby.. his name is tag

    Donna Donna Donna

You simple little coward–hiding behind your little window, remaining in you little safe zone—travel out into the real world, maybe the rest of the USA for starters then perhaps if you have the intestinal fortitude and courage, you might just want to wander beyond the borders of our fine country, and I am not referring to leisure travel….Go to a 3rd world country, visit perhaps a hostile region and then perhaps you will appreciate the very blanket of freedom you are so blessed to have. I served my country well and would repeatedly do so. Sometimes I wonder why, I make such sacrifices for folks as lame and unappreciative as you, but then I recall that the weak need us

Palin is the only candidate for VP along with the only candidate for President, John McCain. As an aside note, you actually have to cast your vote for it to count….You seem to exhibit all of the characteristics of a self centered, low self esteem none voting liberalist. Try volunteering it might cheer you up. You know feed the hungry, work the presidential inaugural committee, give of your time to support someone besides yourself. And, yes you are welcome, as I stated prior I am and was ever proud to serve MY country. If you are so unsatisfied with the USA perhaps you may want to seek shelter further across the globe. There is plenty of room for you in China, Russia, Kuwait, India and others. I would even be happy to chip in for your airfare.

They all thought this election was over with after B H Obama, give his Apollo speach. NOT so quickly there people.

All right, everyone, I just found the book which describes Sarah Palin and her ways.
“First published in 2006, *Sharks In Suits* was written to warn businesses and to help them identify and get rid of the .. sharks in suits.”
And it does a good job of warning and educating and helping us protect ourselves.
Now I feel *really* sad for the children.
