Sarah Palin was hailed a “breath of fresh air” in a speech by former senator Fred Thompson. The delegates at the Republican Convention agreed with him and rose to their feet cheering.
Fred Thompson really gave the delegates something to cheer about as he also branded the Democrats as elitists. The former Tennessee senator said that Senator John McCain’s running mate, Mrs. Palin was a the beacon of ordinary American values.
He said “She is from a small town, with small town values, but that’s not good enough for those folks who are attacking her and her family.” You do have to ask yourself though, should we look at Palin’s personal life to see if she is fit to become a Vice President. It is such a hard thing to think about, I just hope that out of all this her daughter is not affected by it all.

Really? What about Obama’s personal life: His house financed by a convicted felon who swindled millions from homeowners… His pastor a known and admitted racist whom Obama has been listening to for 30 years and who married Obama and his wife, and baptised his kids… And don’t forget William Ayers, the admitted domestic terrorist who publicly said he was sorry his bombs in the 70s didn’t kill more Americans. Obama invited Ayers to speak with him on occasions, and announced his candidacy while with him.
Personal life, indeed.

Speaking from small town experience and a lot of common sense. She’s not the first nice small town girl to have sex. A great many small town babies were born premature weighting in at 7 to 10 lbs. less than 9 months after their parents married. Now are offended that she had sex or that she’s gotten caught? Obama’s mother was pregnant out of wedlock with Mr. Obama. I think both are non issues. Humans are sexual beings. How many young women her age have had children over the course of history? Some handle it well some do not. The same can be applied to women twice her age. What, to me is incredible, is this young women had sex, that led to the creation of a child. She made a choice and she is taking responsibility for it. She is sitting in the middle of a glass house and stones are being thrown at her for being a women who has chosen to keep her child. Small town values yes. Set the bar high, forgive for falling short and take responsibility for your choices.
