Plaxico Burress looks as if he will finally be paid the same as a top NFL receiver. Burgess has signed a two-year contract extension, which will increase his salary to around $7 million over the next five years.
Burress did have three years left on his contract with The New York Giants, which he signed back in 2005. Receivers Terrell Owens of Dallas as well as Randy Moss of New England both signed contracts worth $9 million annually.
Plaxico Burress capped the Giants improbable run to the NFL title by catching a game-winning 13-yard touchdown pass, which he managed to do in the final minute. This gave the New York Giants a 17-14 win over the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
