Roger Federer has done something truly remarkable; he has reached his 18th straight Grand Slam Semifinal at the U.S. Open. Federer is the reigning four-time champion. The second-seeded tennis player beat Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).

In the first set Roger Federer took the first set, but he did it on a tie break. The second set was when the Swiss player took more control of his game; he did this by registering the first, and only break of the match for a 5-4 lead.

The third set also went into a tie break; Federer won this by winning five of the last six points. Roger Federer will now face third- seeded Djokovic or eighth-seeded American Andy Roddick on Saturday. Also playing on Saturday are Brit Andy Murray and Spain’s Rafael Nadal.
