US Open Tennis Results: Rafael Nadal to play Andy Murray
Sep 04, 2008 | Comments 2

Rafael Nadal has reached the semi finals of the US Open Tennis, this is a great result for the Spanish player as it is the first time that he has made it this far. The world number one and 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games gold medal winner will now meet Britain’s Andy Murray.
Nadal beat American Mardy Fish 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. Fish tried his best to win in front of his home crowd, but Nadal was just too strong for him.
Murray played Argentinean Juan Martin Del Potro, he won 7-6, 7-6, 4-6, 7-5. Murray will also be playing his first semi-final at the US open. I do not think Murray has a chance to beat Rafael Nadal; he is playing the best tennis he has played in years, so Andy Murray certainly has his work cut out.
