  1. Congratulations to the winner. I did not vote for him. I am disappointed because Neil was a cry baby. People gave him the sympathy vote. I don’t think he was THE most talented. We shall see how he does in Las Vegas. I will be watching the others.
He was too much of a cry baby.

  2. I was so pleased that Neal won the competition. He may be singing in Vegas but I have no doubt that some opera company will be beating on his door. His Nessun Dorma sent chills down my spine, as did Pavarotti’s and Domingo’s.

The best of good fortune to you, Neal.

  3. I am thrilled that Neal won the show, America’s Got Talent because he is a GREAT TALENT! I truly like them all, but he did stand out, one of a kind. I got the impression that his family didn’t have alot of money floating around and it was sad to me that his Mom couldn’t have been there for his crowning! By today’s standards, a million dollars is really not that much, after taxes…………..
I hope “Nothing but Strings”, (sp) goes on to have a great career, they are awesome and so are the others……hopefully they will all have careers doing what they love to do, sing!

  5. Congratulations Neil. And congratulations to the other four finalists, they were all tremendous. It is my hope, however, that the English judge learned this lesson, “Never form preconceived ideas”. In the finals, “Nothing but Strings” went first. At the end of their performance this judge said, “With that performance you have won the competition”. This was before he even listened to the other four finalists. He followed up by telling every other performers, except Eli Mattson, that they may not win the competition, but…
As both a competiter and judge on “International Speaker’s Platform” for several years, I found such behavior absolutely deplorable. And to add insult to injury, all of the judges allowed their shock to show on their faces when the announcement was nade that “Nothing but Strings” came in third place. A judge must remain impartial and allow nothing, which even indicates partiality, to ever be expressed. Thank heavens…America had the deciding vote.

  8. Congratulations to Neal.

This year I think Simon was trying to duplicate Paul Potts success. Every message board stated so.

While I wish Neal luck, he has had much voice tutoring. He performed Nessun Dorme 2 times during the long drawn out competetion. The rest of the songs he sang were ballads.

For most of us who were on the NBC AGT message boards when the top five were being eliminated, We were wondering whether Eli or Nuttin but Stringz would win. When Stringz was third, and Eli second, the message board almost crashed. We were all in disbelief. Neal won? Again, best of luck Neal.

We shall see how Neal and the rest of the top five contestants fare in the future.

  12. I have to say, Neal E Boyd, the first time you were on I sat in such astonishment. The voice that came out of you was not only one of perfection, but one of an angel as well. You are truely blessed and I am sure your mother is most proud of the young man she has raised. Many wishes in your new life to come, Neal. Wear it proud but with humility. I hope to see you along your journey and hear your song thru the crowd.

  15. It’s so dumb that they copied Britain’s Got Talent. I am not happy with the outcome. It’s ridiculous. I’ll never watch the show again.
