The battle lines were drawn and it was time for both party representatives to square up to each other. Firstly we had Republican VP, Sarah Palin. In the other corner we had, Democratic Vice President, Joe Biden.
The question on everybody’s minds this morning is, who won the VP debate. Palin attacked Biden on his parties’ taxes and partnership, it showed that Sarah is more than able to hold her own on a much larger stage.
Biden decided to attack Presidential hopeful Senator John McCain. He said that one moment McCain had said that the economy was fundamentally strong, only to back track later that day and call it a crisis later.

I don’t understand why so many journalists praise Palin’s debate skills: in my opinion, her performance was really embarrassing. No doubt, within three days of intensive training she learned something; as media put it, she has made no major gaffes. But there were no major achievements either. She didn’t really answer any question asked by a moderator. She was just babbling some pseudo-patriotic banalities. Being a first-rate demagogue, she repeated the same populist slogans again and again, probably to be better understood by her target audience. Her choice of words was as revealing as her poor vocabulary: she kept using the same words over and over. No matter how much she learned preparing for the debates, her general culture level leaves much to be desired. No comparison whatsoever with Senator Biden: intelligent, articulate, and responsible for what he says.
