
The Nobel Physics Prize has been shared by 1 American and 2 Japanese for their work in Physics. Their work involves exploring the hidden symmetries between elementary particles; these are the deepest constituents of nature.
Yoichiro Nambu, will receive half of the 10 million kroner prize (about $1.3 million) which will be awarded to him by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
Makoto Kobayashi, and Toshihide Maskawa, will each receive a quarter of the prize.
