Second Presidential Debate Video: McCain and Obama Battle

Last night saw the second Presidential debate between Barack Obama and John McCain; if you did not get a chance to watch it then you can watch the video. Do not get over exited as not much went on last night that we do not already know.

Second Presidential Debate Video: McCain and Obama Battle

Last night there was nothing that stood out to me to help increase either Presidential hopeful their lead in the polls. Both men talked about the main issues, one main focus was the state of the economy.

This was the chance that John McCain could have pulled a rabbit out of the bag, but all he did was pull a battered and bruised one out instead. I just think that McCain does not have what it takes to run a country like America, it is time for change and I feel that Obama could just be the man to make that change.

It has come to this. Obama is showing what we need in a president in this historical time in the world. Leadership and the ability to be the pack-leader. Republicans are finally going to their dispecable proven-and-failed Karl Rove tactics. Attack, attack, attack, and make up some more lies, that is irrelevant to the voters.

It’s shocking to me that so many people are willing to buy into the idea that Obama is some kind of savior. He’s a talking suit. He’s a great speaker and charismatic, but there is absolutely nothing in his track record to prove that he can or will do anything that he says he will do in his campaign speeches. At least with McCain a person can look at what he stands for and has traditionally stood for. I want a President and a leader that I know where he stands and where he has been. He has a proven track record of being a leader who consistantly acts in the best interest of America. I appreciate that and I believe that a strong, proven leader is what we all need. I question Obama when his name surfaces as being involved with proven illegal voting tactics.

Yeah… Not to mention Obama is a TERRORIST!!! And a MUSLIM!!! did I mention he’s BLACK!?!?! And he “Just doesn’t get it…” He studied Marxism too!! He’s a COMMUNIST!!!

    Black people are scary :’(

Good thing we have an old white guy on our side!! And when he dies next year of old age, we get Palin!!!

    Now THAT…. is a scary thought…

It is comments like the above that makes our world a difficult place to live in. Please refrain from such a thing my friend. I know in my heart of hearts you do not mean that. I think we are naturally born to love, and we learn to hate somewhere along the way, and i believe we can unlearn that.

For all the black comment, it is curious to see that how many trailer-trash whites he stomped all over eh? See. Anyone can type such a thing behind a screen, but FYI i didn’t mean that. Just to show you how hurtful and immature the above statement is, especially when you could never have the chutzpah to tell that to any black person to his face.

It is equally despecable that the comment was not moderated.

GOD SAVE AMERICA please or at least the American people usher in a more friendly and down to earth era. ‘you guys’ are not the be all and end all of civilisation. your society is sick with greed and although you may have some amazing and loving people with incredible ideas your governments interests, i.e those of the military industrial fraternity puts the world in constant peril with divide and conquer tactics. more than that you should be leading the way with global solutions and using your so called superpowers to help others find a way to stabilise their countries, not keep them in constant fear and poverty by riding roughshod over everyone else. (SUPERMAN who embodied ‘doing the right thing’ would be truly ashamed of you and would probably emigrate)…when will the American people rid themselves of the idea that whatever is done in ‘The interests of American people’ is intrinsically right. it’s obviously such a selfish attitude that how can any human being adere or be proud of that ? Republican.. recalcitrant…
yEAH – vote Obama and you may find that the overseas view of AMERICA changes for the better. but will he sign up to KYOTO and start leading the world in terms of trying to make a better world to live in. i would bet a silver dollar that the US is not ready to grow up and become an adult… that said, there are so many great thinkers and opportunities in the US that i sincerely hope you all find a balance and peae with each other and everyone else. yes i have been there and yes i speak from a European perspective.

    Dr. Ethiopia:

The above comment you responded to was a synical representation of many myopic and ignorant redneck republicans around the US. Read the entire comment next time…

As for the election, I think the scariest thing about this whole process is the emergence of the “ignorant and proud” movement. We’ve reach the Paris Hilton generation, our goal is no longer to evolve ourselves, it’s to buy shiny things.

Palin is a perfect example of this movement in the direction of “joe six-pack” pride. There was a time when under-educated people felt shame for not achieving the success of thier peers. They worked hard to send thier kids to college and progress. Now rednecks across the country rejoice in thier rebellion against the “thoughtful.”

However, it’s not a real rebellion. You can be proud to make 10 dollars an hour and spend it all on beer while you make moronic statements about other races/religions/creeds with your buddies. However, in general it’s the educated people that will always make more money and lead healthier happier lives.

“Dumb and Proud” is a fad, and when it wears off your friends will move on. It’s fun to “act” a certain way for a while, but eventually you will come back to reality and realize it wasn’t worth it.

Why not quit while your behind?

I am so amazed how people can even consider, that just because a person is black he or she is proud to poor. It also amaze me how some people can talk about things and they don’t have a clue. I thank my almight GOD that he has taught me to love my neighbor as myself. I also, thank GOD that I don’t live with hate that I don’t understand. People who dislike other people because the color of his or her skin. I am so glad to be free from such an agonizing effort. To you who express this needless hate, I pray for you, that you will have the comfort to experience joy. Obama’s campaign is no different than any of his counter parts that were before him, but for some reason he is a lyer. While McCain’s campaign consided on in smearing Obama’s name. He knew that racism still exist and that is all he had to do to win his campaign. Only thing this man has that Obama doesn’t is that he is a veteran, the both are Senators. His campaign speeches are either smashing Obama or talking about his as a veteran. Well, if that is the case my husband will run for the Presidency next term, he was in the military for twenty nine years, never prisoner of war and was a fighter pilot.

    Thank
