Google is celebrating the 50th birthday of Paddington Bear, by changing their Google UK homepage logo with a picture of this much loved bear. For those of you who are too young to know who Paddington Bear ism he is a fictional character who first appeared on October 13, 1958.
The bear is an immigrant from Peru, and is famous for wearing his boots, rain mack, old battered suit case and old bush hat. Oh do not forget his love for marmalade sandwiches. Paddington Bear books have been translated in over 30 languages with 70 books. These books have sold 30 million copies worldwide.
