
Tom Tresh, the ex-New York Yankees star has died of a heart attack on Wednesday, aged 71. Tresh, was the 1962 AL Rookie of the Year, as well as being part of three NYY teams that reached the World Series.
Tresh had a great career, he was part of the 1962 All-Star as a shortstop, and he also made the team again in 1963 as a center field. He then went on to earn the Gold Glove in the outfield.
Tom Tresh was born in Detroit, he attended Central Michigan. He later went on to become the assistant coach for the school team. A memorial service is to be held on Sunday, October 24, in Venice, on the Central Michigan campus.
