Chevy Chase says Sarah Palin on SNL mistake


Comedy heavyweight and former Saturday Night Live cast member, Chevy Chase has said that putting Sarah Palin on SNL was a mistake. Chase said that he was not impressed at what he saw the Republican vice presidential candidate appear on the show.

Chase said “Quite frankly, it’s a big mistake to let her go on.” He did add “What was brilliant about (‘SNL’ chief) Lorne (Michaels) was that he had nothing written for Sarah and that apparently she cannot improvise herself out of a paper bag!” Palin did two sketches, the opener and the Weekend Update.

Chase, actor of what has to be the best Christmas movie ever, National Lampoons: Christmas Vacation said that the management team behind McCain’s campaign is dumb. Chevy Chase also added that this has accentuated the problem of his judgment in choosing.

    For someone who hasn’t been relevant since Vegas Vacation he talks a lot of smack. Dude you were ok on SNL light years ago and nice job on your tv talk show, the shortest lived in tv history. Just the grumblings of an angry old washed up celebrity.

    I am grateful for SNL putting Sarah Palin on their show as their ratings were an all time 14 yr high. The Palin appearance showed class and evidence that saying a little can say alot!

    Heavyweight????You have got to be kidding. The only time this has- been makes the news is when he shoots off his predictable hollywood liberal mouth. Sarah Palin has accomplished significantly more than this guy ever will.
