Comedy heavyweight and former Saturday Night Live cast member, Chevy Chase has said that putting Sarah Palin on SNL was a mistake. Chase said that he was not impressed at what he saw the Republican vice presidential candidate appear on the show.
Chase said “Quite frankly, it’s a big mistake to let her go on.” He did add “What was brilliant about (‘SNL’ chief) Lorne (Michaels) was that he had nothing written for Sarah and that apparently she cannot improvise herself out of a paper bag!” Palin did two sketches, the opener and the Weekend Update.
Chase, actor of what has to be the best Christmas movie ever, National Lampoons: Christmas Vacation said that the management team behind McCain’s campaign is dumb. Chevy Chase also added that this has accentuated the problem of his judgment in choosing.
