Raffaello Follieri, Anne Hathaway ex has been giving a jail sentence of almost five years. Follieri pleaded guilty in September to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering, as a result was sentenced to 4 and a half years in jail.
Raffaello Follieri’s attorney, Flora Edwards requested that his client serve his sentence at either at Fort Dix, N.J., or in Otisville, N.Y. Although there was no fine, Italian-born Follieri was given a $1,400 special assessment, which he has to pay to the United States.
Follieri delivered a statement through an interpreter saying “The most important thing I want the court to know is I was not raised with bad values. … I started off with good intentions, determined to run an honorable business and make everyone proud of me.”
