The 2008 Marine Corps Marathon was attended by around 30,000 runners on Sunday morning, and it was Andrew Dumm, 23, a graduate student who finally won the race with a time of two hours and twenty-two minutes.
Dumm a graduate student at American University describes himself as an “Air Force brat.” Cate Fenster, 37, of Wooster, Ohio, was the first woman to reach the finish line in Sunday’s 33rd annual Marine Corps Marathon.
The thing that is even more remarkable is that it is the first time that both Dumm and Fenster have run the race. For a full list of the race results, visit marinemarathon.com
