The North American box office charts was a bit of a strange one this week, in one corner we have Disney’s High School Musical 3, and in the other corner we have Saw V, the fifth installments of the horror series.
Looking at the early studio estimates, it seems that HSM 3 has come out on top. High School Musical 3: Senior Year is the first movie from the franchise to make it to the big screen, and as a result sold $42 million worth of tickets on its first threes days.
Saw V had ticket sales of $30.5 million, which is some way behind HSM 3. If you had to make your choice between the two movies which would you choose, High School Musical 3 or Saw 5.
