The BBC have suspended both Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand from their highly paid jobs, a result of the controversy over a prank call that the two of them made to Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs.
The BBC said that both Ross and Brand are temporarily suspended while they perform an internal investigation into the incident. BBC Director General Mark Thompson, applogised to Sachs for the prank calls. Thompson said that the pair will not be able to broadcast until the investigation was complete.
Jonathan Ross has the most to lose from this, as he is paid a huge sum of money from the BBC. Ross was due to start filming for Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, it is not certain if the recording will go ahead, or what will replace it on Friday night.
