
India’s Gautam Gambhir has now reached consecutive Test match centuries against Australia, which has helped India with a great lead on the first day of the 3rd Test. This is now Gambhir’s third test century; he reached this by walloping Shane Watson over long on for six.
The century has now giving India 3 for 214 after having a a quick fire 57-run partnership with VVS Laxman. The Third Test is all about how well Tendulkar and Gambhir have done for the team, rebuilding India’s innings after early blows in the first session.
Both Tendulkar and Gambhir put on 130 runs for the third wicket, helping home side recover from a not so good 2 for 72 and reach 3 for 158 at tea.
