Barack Obama’s grandmother has died: John McCain offers condolences

Barack Obama’s grandmother has sadly died following her ongoing illness with cancer. Madelyn Dunham was 86-years old. Obama and his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng said that their grandmother was the cornerstone of their family.

John McCain has issued a statement offering his condolences to his rival Obama and his family, in this troubling time. Barack Obama and his sister have asked if all donations can be made to help find a cure for cancer, instead of buying flowers.

This is such a hard time for Obama, as he will not have time to go through the grieving stage, as he fights to become the next President of the United States of America. A small private ceremony will be held at a later date.
