Heather Locklear has now been formally charged with DUI, which was in connection with her arrest in September, in Santa Barbara, Calif. The misdemeanor charge was filed by the DA office, and said that the drugs in question were “prescription medications.”
If Locklear is convicted, then she could face a fine or 6 months in jail. She will have to appear back in court on Jan. 26 in Santa Barbara Superior Court. Locklear had originally been charged for driving under the influence of drugs and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The latter charge was dropped as “”There were no illegal substances in her system.” It seems that more Hollywood stars are finding themselves in these situations. You have to wonder what drives them to it.
