The reviews for Twilight are now coming in at an alarming rate, so now we are able to gauge what people think of the movie. One thing is certain, most reviews report on the fact that the transition from book to movie as lost its bite.
Twilight is a romantic movie about a vampire who falls in love and want to turn his back on what he is, does this sound like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel all over again. The actors are unknowns but do a great job.
There is a whole clan of vampires who prefer not to kill humans for blood; instead they choose to kill animals instead. The movie has a huge camp factor to it, a formula that seems to work well with certain movies, nit sure if Twilight is one of those.

Twilight is an excellent book. The movie on the other hand is really bad. It was edited bad, the dialog was chosen wrongly and they emphasized on the wrong stuff. I was very dissappointed by the results of the movie after being a #1 fan of the books. I hope that if they make it to a second movie, they take more time to fix the film and have a better script. Get better acting while they’re at it. Edward and Bella are great though, Edward is as hot as I imagined and Bella is just as convincingly naive. I give a big thumbs up to Stephanie for writing the Saga but not to the film.
i LOVED the book AND the movie. You cant expect the movie to be as good as the book, because the words can mean more then pictures.
I Loved these books but was dissapointed with the movie. It seems like they cut out all the flow. It didn’t flow at all from scene to scene. It felt choppy. I also hated that they changed a lot of the way things happened in the book, like how Bella see’s Edward’s skin, in the book it was romantic, NOT in the movie though. I felt like they left out alot of the love, the temptation to touch, and the constant desire to BE with one another, part of the story which is what kept me reading the book. Ultimately they could have done better.
I agree that the movie wasn’t as good, but movie’s take a lot more finance so maybe the next movie will improve through budget. Plus Books are more personal to your imagination so i don’t think a movie can ever quite touch you as well as a good old fashioned book can! I also agree that for unknown actors Edward and Bella played the parts great fingers crossed for the next movie!!
the film is amazing! however i have never read the book, but if it is ‘better’ than the film, i shall buy a copy straight away. the actors were increddible and the tension created was goosepimpling! it made me cry!
best film i have seen in a long time!
I loved the book but was so disappointed in the movie. The two main characters were great but the some of the others weren’t what I pictured nor how the book described them as looking. I absolutely hated the look of the guy they cast for Jacob. C’mon the kid had the fakest wig ever! He doesn’t even look Native American!!! The casting person should be fired for this movie. Please let someone else direct and cast for it in the next series of movies…
i love all of the stephanie meyer books and i havent yet watched the film but i think its going to be great. i dont think the characters match up to what you picture when your reading the book but their as close as anyone will get.
x
i am a huge fan of the books and i thought that the film was awsome, it was done realy well
I haven’t read the book, so I can’t compare the book and the film, but personally I quite liked the film! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were great as Edward and Bella, and all the Cullens looked good!
TWILIGHT……..
well i am totally and completely in love with ‘robert thomas pattinson’
he is absolutaly gorguzzz even in the words of the book!

I read the first book, saw the film. Thought the film was amazing. The cinematography (if that’s the right word!) and the Actor who played Edward was incredibly talented, he absolutely made that film for me. I thought the book was a good story, but the writing itself didn’t impress me at all. I’m now half way through the second book, it is much pacier and Meyer seems to have refined her style in this one. I think people who were disappointed with the film and thought the books were better must be basing it on her later ones, because i thought the movie was a brilliant portrayal of Twilight. Once again: Bella, but especially Edward– WOW. Look forward to seeing him in other movies. Future award winner I think.
I was dissapointed by the movie as a whole, parts of it were good like the fight scene and the casting for Edward but I agree with other reviews that the film did not flow well and the intensity of the feelings between Edward and Bella were a bit lost. Also does Kristen just have that one face? She didn’t seem fazed by anything, in the book bella embarrasses and blushes easily which I think maked her more endearing.
Edward was amazing in the film although I thought the language they scripted for him was far too modern, he is 108 years old!
And what was with Jaspers face and the whole spidermonkey thing?!!
i watched the movie, it realy didnothing for me becasue i read the book and it was tooo good. they missed out the best scenes like the bit when he askes:
“are u scared of me?”
“no”
then he jumps on her and in the movie they jump out of the window<– why??
and when he says hes the worlds best preditor their ment tio be in the meadow not in the middle of a bunchof trees and hes meant to be teasing her but in a hot a fightning way, in the movie hes ashamed of himself and it doesnt seemto work for me.
they miss out a load of important things and when he compares her to herion it was ment t be a joke but because th elines were missleading thas why it got bad reports.
but i have to addmit jasper emmett and edward looked soooooooooooooooooooooooo HOT!
do u no what,
im depresssed
i no what ur thinking
“oh god how annoying a typical teenager ”
but ive only been thinking like this since after the movie, i feellike i NEED my edward, but i dont have one.
i just feel really rubish whenithinkaboutit

OMG, Brilliant film, would definetely go and see it over and over again. Im only 14 and I admit at points my hand covered my eyes bu only at the gross bits. Loved all the characters. I went with my mate and I think it was at the end but where “Bella” was on the floor in pain I grabbed my leg back (i though she was me LOL) I ripped the theatre seat.
Overall Brill definetely takes over any HSM film.
i watched the film , and thought it was amazing , best film iv seen in a long time. But im reading the book as we speak , and its totally different!? in the book edward has more of a sense of humour and bella has more emotion to her.
and they didnt include some of the scenes were you really feel the love between bella and edward , for example when he calls her over in the dinner canteen.
but , i do love the film , i love robert pattinson.
Twilight the book is absolutly amazing. i have seen the film like 10 times but the book is so much better although seeing Edward Cullen in the movie is Brill because he is so hot!!!! the book is sooooo exciting and i read it all in basicly one night i was reading until 2:00 because i couldn’t put it down. everybody read the book!!!
Liah
don’t read the book before you see the film because you will be dissapointed the character of Edward Cullen is more humerous in the book but te film is really good don’t listen to the others the film is brill……… if you dont read the book first
robert pattison is soooooooooooo hot i love his eyes. he can bite me any day!!!!!
i lllooovvveeee dis film !!! its soooo amazing……..and edward…………………………………..what more do i have to say??………………………………………………………….
………………………FIT !!!!!!………………….

…………..im in love with him lol xxxxxxxxxx
1st- wasnt this site called ‘it entertanment’
2nd- i feel fine now, still upset at times, ive noticed that when ever i think of the ending of breaking dawn (final book in twilight sereis) i cant breathe properly.
i feel light headed and it makes me even more – weird- feeling.
TWILIGHT ROCKS!!!!!!
Whoever directed this film really was an idiot.
The books are amazing. But the film is just… wrong. It doesn’t flow, Edward seems mentally incompetent, and Bella is… manly. Its wierd. They use music too often, and too much conversation between Bella and Edward is lost. We don’t see their relationship clearly enough.
Also, the acting has that cringe-worthy, overly-serious quality that American films often have. We never get to see the few happy, carefree moments that Edward and Bella share in the book.
I hope the next film is better. :/
((on the plus side, male actors Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kellan Lutz are VERY fit… just wish Rob was made up to look like Edward better…))
honestly, we cant even describe how much we are in love with him. stupidaty i know.
LOVEIT
kristen u re wonderfulll, i love her so much.she is good in acting…robert and kristen were great as edward and bella so romantic people…
I LOVE twilight! I am a major twilight fan! I think that is putting it lightly. I have read the books twice and still do and have seen the movie 5 times and the dvd still isn’t out.
Yes, i agree that the movie wasn’t near as good as the book but movies never are. But the movie was better than i thought. Catherine did a wonderful job and i hope Chris does too!
I saw the movie before i read i thought it was good but didnt think that kristin Stewart was pretty enuf or really suited a lead female character. After reading the book i was a bit disappointed in the film as much as enjoyed it, they never really potrayed edward and bella as the book did and like alot of the reviews said missed out on alot of loving scenes!!! books are gr8 and im hoping the second movie will be better!!!
also alot of the actors did not look how there characters were discribed in the book for example alice and especially Rosalie who was suppose to be a stunning blonde and nikki reed as much as she is lovely( as a brunette) didnt potray her character well!! casting director definelty shud be fired!
So many of my friends saw twilight and were straight away hooked with edward. I heard about the film and saw the trailer, and I was planning to see it. Never got to.. until afte read the book. I was shocked at how indulged i was by the book! I couldn’t put it down. Read Twilight in 2-3 days, and couldn’t wait to start new moon, and got through them both under a week. I went to see the movie and from such good feedback from all my friends i was expecting a great movie. I was actually quite dissapointed. Okay film, but the relationship and chemistry between Edward & Bella in the book was so intensive. I loved it; and i suppose thats what i was looking for in the movie. But it just wasn’t there… Hopefully in new moon they will show the inseperableness between them.
I think Kristen Stewart is one of the best actresses on the planet. I wish I was as good as her. But Twilight is amazing. My BFF was obsessed with it, so we went to watch it in the movies. I am now more obsessed than her! Kristen Stewart is now my fave actress, and I’ve read all the books. The books were better (marginally) because of Chapter 5 (Blood Type), and because you could ’see’ more of their chemistry in the book. My opinion.

I am a mom with teenage son who has just been introduced to twilight thru a friend. I have now finished reading all the books, watched the movie and its amazing how it has got to me!! I feel anxious and can’t wait for the next movie. The books were so much more indepth and I hope that is followed thru in the next few movies.
i watched the film first and thought that it was amazing i then read the books and couldnt put them down. i dont like the idea that the vampires look like they glisten when in the sun but other than that i think its an amazing story like.
twilight is obviously a great movie….. the books have more details but it is still great
twilight is a great book and movie, i fine the people were cute{boys{} and Kristen was awesome! i am a huge Twilight fan..
