Eddie Murphy to play Riddler in new Batman movie

The Sun has reported today that funnyman Eddie Murphy is to play the Riddler in the new Batman movie. This has ended months of speculation that Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp would play the part.
The new Batman movie is expected to be released sometime in 2010, which has a working title of Gotham. Christopher Nolan will once again direct the movie, well why change something that world so well, as the previous Batman proved such a huge success.
There are also a number of other top stars signed up for the new batman movie; Shia Labeouf will play Robin, while Rachel Weisz is tipped to play catwoman. Let us hope that Eddie Murphy is the right choice to play the Riddler, as he last few comedy movies have not been that great.

Oh great! this smells of Batman & Robin in the 90’s, what next? Schwarzenegger?? I was hoping that Robin Wouldnt appear in this series and Eddie Murphy as the Riddler? Depp would have been much better casting, I cant imagine Murphy in this role but we’ll see
ok, this movie will not be better than dark knight, getting rid of joker because heath leadgers suddon passing will destroy the series.
Why don’t they just take Jim Carrey back as the riddler? He had the role before, and due to his experience he gained in many years, he probably would do it even better then before, I mean, he is still very active…
