Doctor Who News and Matt Smith the 11th Doctor

Matt Smith has now become the 11th person to play Doctor Who, the role will now take him from a British character actor, to what some people are calling, an entertainment legend. He has some big shoes to fill, as David Tennant has certainly made the role his own.

The show has been running for 45-years, and the fans of the show will always remember the ten actors who played Doctor Who before Smith, his name will now join that exclusive list. Each actor has brought something unique to the role, so Smith will have his work cut out.

Matt Smith has time to come to terms to the task ahead, as current Doctor Who, David Tennant will not leave the BBC show until the end of 2009. Smith will play the time lord in 2010. Do you think Smith will make a great Doctor Who?
