When everyone first saw Susan Boyle, most would agree that she looked to be the future star of Britain’s Got Talent 2009.
Now following the news that she has had a makeover for the show, has Susan Boyle lost the edge she once had? Yes she looks much better now, but will this hinder her chances of success?

This so-called makeover set her back about $50 US at a local salon. If that’s a makeover, well . . . Susan is talent personified and I can’t wait to hear her next performance. New York loves you, Susan!

As a singer myself it goes without saying it is not what we visualy portray but the talent we have.
This lady was an ordinary plain citizen with the voice of an angel.
Even if she fails to win she will get far.
Her voice has made her a winner in our hearts.

Bugger me!!!!! Everyone laughed cause she wasnt the stereo typical ‘Stunner’ of show biz, until she sang. Now they want to knock her for improving her image (which is what they all thought she should do in the first place!!!!!!)

Susan Boyle has already outgrown Britains Got Talent.
She has amassed as many hits on you tube as Paul Potts has in almost two years.
She wanted to be as successful as Elaine Paige…with more than 120 million viweings on Youtube she’s certainly more famous than Elaine Paige – who isn’t much known outside of the UK.
As for her ‘makeover’ – lot of tosh!!
This was an AUDITION. Paul potts, connie talbot etc – they weren’t all spruced up for their auditions either.
And like Susan herself mentioned – it’s not a beauty competition!
It’s easy to spruce up for a ‘performance’, not quite so easy pop round to Marks and sparks and buy a voice like an angel!
Does her changing her looks, change her voice, I say NOOO! It is her voice, the tenor of it, that gives her the talent she has, not her looks. I, for one, believe she has a great chance of winning the competition.
i was in the musical Les Mis and let me say she got those notes perfect! i can’t think of a more perfect song for her to have sung! great job susan! best wishes to you and your cat! lol, i love you and les mis
A fabulous voice. I cannot stop watching her performance. PERFECTION!! Whether she wins or not, Susan Boyle will have a singing contract for sure. A delight to listen to.
I try and click on you tube to listen and view Susan when I can—it can be an unlifting experience if you’re having a bad day–She will go far in her singing .am very glad she did this! best wishes now and always

Are you all idiots? Noone but the Americans gave a damn about how Susan Boyle looked. It was the fact that she swayed her hips and was saying “thats only one part of me!” and couldn’t remember the word “village”. You absolute morons. It has nothing to do with her ugliness. It is to do with her being seemingly retarded, yet singing brilliantly.

Much was made of the fact she has never been kissed and that shes a 48 year old virgin – Sorry Susan but ”beauty is in the eye of the beholder” …Good luck finding him ! But then what has that got to do with talent?
The gestures she made with her hips and clear sexual overtures she made to Pierce Morgan made me wretch….OMGGGGGG
There’s is no doubt she has an amazing voice and Paul Pots has already proved that you don’t have to be a Venus or an Adonis as well to make it big so I expect she will.
Sadly having been taken from a Scottish Village,from the comfort blanket of friends and family that supported her and from an environment and community that were aware and forgiving of her clear lack of social skills and her learning difficulties She was thrust into a media frenzy.
She couldn’t hack it, she couldn’t cope
BGT built her up and no attempt was made to protect her or advise her on how to deal with the overwhelming publicity. No wonder she lost the plot.
What I personally felt and what I believe I saw though was a humble woman change from being relatively shy and appreciative of the plaudits thrown at her, into a woman who stood on that stage totally convinced that all she had to do was walk on stage and it was won.
I wasn’t fooled at all by the cursory congratulations she gave Diversity when they won. One look at her face and you see she was incredulous, bitter and looked totally disgusted and angry that the people of Britain had actually dared to pick another act to win over her.
She will make her millions I am sure but I think she will also hit the headlines for the wrong reasons too…..
susan boyle is as nice looking as anybody with a lovely singing voice.why some people say she is not good looking is beyond me. her makeover enhances her looks.all the luck in the world susan, but you dont need luck you have your talant a wonderful singing voice.so there. Barbara.
