NASCAR driver Carl Edwards has amazingly walked away from a huge crash during yesterdays NASCAR race. Edwards’ car flew into the air at a corner of the Talladega Superspeedway; the car looked as if it was heading into the crowd.
The fence at the side of the track managed to hold and the car landed back on the circuit. Eight spectators were injured, thankfully, none of the injuries was life threatening, two women from the crowd had to be airlifted to Birmingham hospitals.
The Metro has reported that one of the women had a broken jaw while the other was not injured, but she had to be taken because of a medical condition. The crash happened as Carl Edwards tried to block a move from Brad Keselowski, that contact sent his car spinning over Ryan Newman’s hood. Keselowski later won the race.
