Dancing With the Stars 2009: Results

It was the country singer Chuck Wicks and his partner Julianne Hough that got voted off by the Dancing With the Stars 2009 judges and the public on Monday nights show. They went with the cha-cha for their performance and got the lowest score with 26 points.
Melissa Rycroft and her partner Tony Dovolani were in the bottom two, but were kept in by the viewers despite the injury she suffered. The couple then performed a group mambo with Shawn Johnson, Lacey Schwimmer and Mark Ballas and the judges gave them a score of 25.
According to TV Guide, Mayo Alanen and Anna Demidova went with the jive for their performance and Genya Mazo and Afton DelGrosso went with the quickstep. As it gets down to the final five in the competition, we just don’t know how the results are going to go.

I AM MAD GILLE AND CHERYL SHOULD OF WON IT MAKES ME SICK THAT SHAWN WON WHAT A RIP OFF IM DONE WITH THIS SHOW
Sara, EVERY show is like that. Everything is popularity based. If you are mad about this show, then don’t watch any other reality show where the viewers vote because that is the way it goes.
Very disappointed with the champions chosen.
The three (3) couples were very good but it should have been Cheryl and Gilles, as they were consistent, week after week.
I really dont think shawn should of won,
if definally should of been melissa or cheryl and Gilles. Shawn was okay, but i enjoy watchin the other two couples dance.
Shawn deserved to win she was just as good as g. and melissa… it was a three way tie in the best season of the show ever. really didnt matter who won.
i thought Shawn should’ve won i thought she was one of the best and so was Melissa
It does feel good that Shawn win because she was the youngest one and the smarter one I enjoy watching he and her partner dancing

There’s only one reason Gille and Cheryl did not take the trophy for 2009 Dancing with the Stars: Lousy judges’ scores for Shawn and Melissa’s dances on the last night. To give all three dances perfect 10-10-10 scores is ridiculous and insulting to Gilles and Cheryl. THAT is why they lost. They should be ashamed. They know very well that the simplistic jive that Shawn did was not worthy of a perfect score.
I almost fell from my chair when Shawn was pronounced the winner. What a scam. I agree with Shari’s comments that this is mainly the judges’ fault – she did not deserve a triple 10 that last evening. Gilles should have definitely won the trophy; he and Cheryl (outstanding dancer and coach) were the very best, week in, week out. Perhaps it’s also because he is a foreigner?
