Michael Keaton has decided to try his hand at being a film director as his film “The Merry Gentleman” debuts this week. Michael has been an actor for over 30 years and has been in films such as “Beetlejuice” and “Batman”.
According to ksbitv.com, he has had many offers over the years to direct, but felt he wasn’t ready at the time. He directs and stars in the film, which sees him take on the role as a suicidal hit man.
“The Merry Gentleman,” which has been described as a dark, independent drama, was shot in about 25 days with not a lot of pre-production time. Keaton himself said “I just wanted it to be unpretentious”.
