A&E’s drama “The Beast” has been getting a weekly audience of around 1.3 million viewers since it premiered in January, but the future of the show is in question now, as everyone wonders about the ailing star Patrick Swayze.

According to The News-Sentinel, Swayze has been battling pancreatic cancer for a while now and A&E president Bob DeBitetto has been wondering if the star would be up for another grueling production schedule.

Patrick who is well known for films like “Ghost” and “Dirty Dancing” threw himself into shooting “The Beast” shortly after he went public with his diagnosis about a year ago. The star didn’t let his health get in the way of his gritty portrayal of FBI agent Charles Barker in the show.

    This man should be trying to rest and spend time with his family and not wear his imune system down so much with such a heavy schedule.
    we all try to go about as normal as we can when this type of thing hits, but we also have to realize we have limits.

    I have been praying for you…Further, I have taken a photo of you from Dirty Dancing and I placed a healthy pancreas, liver, etc. in front of the photo and I am holding the picture of you getting 100% healthy again….

    I have so often heard that if you picture something (kinda like Michael Jordan holding the picture of shooting baskets) then it is more likely to come true…I invite all of your fans to do the same…let’s everyone hold the picture of Patrick having a healthy body and ask God to let Patrick’s healthy body return to him. It is never too late!!!!!!!!!
