Celebrity Apprentice 2009: Annie Duke's Strategy
Poker fans will be pleased to learn that Annie Duke has made it to the final of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, Poker News Daily thought that they would congratulate the poker player, as well as ask her a series of questions, including her strategy on how she plans to beat Joan Rivers.

Duke says that Joan Rivers is Joan Rivers, and that has proved a big battle, and that is one of the reasons why she has made it to the finals. The thing that Annie does not understand is Rivers performance, she has only managed to win half of her challenges that she was involved in.

Joan Rivers raised very little money, and did things that would not be allowed to happen in the common workplace. There was one other thing that Rivers did which not only astonished Duke but viewers as well, she quit the show before coming back. However, there is a difference this is TV, and it certainly helps with the ratings.

Didn’t we all see Annie Duke do all the things that Joan accused her of? Yes, I think so.

  2. Erica says:

Yes but isn’t that part of the game? It’s not like Joan was acting professional herself. The name calling? Stealing brides to be from the other store? I mean come on how old is is this woman and shouldn’t she be old enough to know how to carry herself. Yes Annie had her game plan going but that is what she does and she did it in a more professional way then joan did.. she is a poker player!… I was very happy to see Mellisa leave and I think Joan should have been been ahead of her long ago…
Good luck Annie hope you win!

  3. Shelley says:

I love Annie and I love how she’s played the game! She does find a way to put “I” in the word team though.
I can’t stand Joan Rivers. I think she’s a total nut. I can’t stand to look at a bottle of ALL detergent after seeing how she and Melissa behaved on the show! Talk about babies, uggh!

  4. howdy says:

I hope Joan wins. Annie is way to egotistical for her own good. She’s very conniving, manipulitive, and cunning. Joan’s been around the block or two and knows why type of person she is dealing with. She is an amazing sharp woman and I like the fact that she’s so opionated. Joan is just calling her out for what she is because she is a geat judge of a persons character.

  5. Mary Ann says:

I was sorry to see Melissa go and now Annie Stay. Melissa and Joan were right about Annie. Annie did not win her tasks, all she did on the show was raise money better then anyone else. It was all strategy to eliminate Melissa because she was the sharpest on the team and Joan and Melissa knew that.

  6. AV says:

Erica, you’re wrong…Annie isn’t a poker player…she’s a “pokah playah”! LOL!! The show is so fun this season with Annie and Joan’s “fued”…makes for entertaining TV and good ratings. I’m glad it’s the two of them in the final two!

  7. FAWK ANNIE says:

Annie is worthless. Melissa is a baby. Joan is off her rocker. Dennis is a lazy ass. Clint is too full of himself. Hershal is dumb. Andrew is an idiot.

I wish Jesse would have just kicked all their asses and ended it early.

  8. Marilyn Wilson says:

I hope anyone wins but that skeletol, horror with the big mouth, my God how many plastic surgeries has she and her FUGLY daughter had? they are both Bullys and nasty, unprofessional, dishonest creeps. I would have fired both of them long ago, imagine treating people like that, does she really think she has any class? She has no talent, she just goes around being ugly to people and being critical, how charming, she hates it that Anne is successful for playing cards and cut down the entire town that supported her flat ass, she and her daughter are disgusting, I hope they are boycotted internationally and for ever. they both look like mutant freaks. They should be mad at the drs that did that to them! yuk!

  9. Floris says:

Shame on Donald Trump to have choosen someone who was just as evil as she accused her competitor. Joan is old and because of age does not give her the right to typecast certain people, very judgemental person really a sad person.

  10. Floris says:

Also to add… how dar Joan aquise someone getting Mafia money and how dare she at her age be so evil. Know I am sure to have seen the true colors of Joan River and her daughter Melissa they should grow up, accept when someone does not agree with u not call them Hitler. How dare they use such hate words towards someone else, such sad people. Another point Donald is such a wimp chooses Joan out of pitty HAH. Loser

  11. john says:

sorry you got robbed. Joan hates women who beat her and has passed this on to her daughter. They are vitious in their loss and say mean things. sorry you had to endure this. You are the best but men love Joan because she plays up to them she has only men friends no real women friends. The closets she gets to female friends is men in drag.

  12. Barb says:

I was very disappointed to see Joan Rivers win tonight. I felt she was unprofessional and caddy. She didn’t deserve to win. I think the whole thing was staged. The real winner was Annie. I am not a poker player nor do I know anything about the game. I am disappointed in Donald Trump he declared Joan a winner not because she won but because they are friends. Why didn’t Donald call Joan out for her behavior. I am finished watching this
    “trumped up show!”

  13. ng says:

I agree with Barb. I feel very cheated with this show, because I feel like I wasted my time to watch a drama, not a reality show. I don’t understand how Joan can leave and come back and Donald keeps her. When she doesn’t like something or someone she will just take off and then come back when she feels like it. Donald kept a friend instead of hiring a real employee. I am done watching this crap. I hate Joan and Mellissa. They are the most sensitive people on earth. I thought Donald meant business. Annie, you are the true winner. Donald will realize that, but it’s too late. One show off my list. Joan, you have the ugliest face for all the money you spent.

  14. Russ says:

I, too, am done watching this show. Donald Trump is a hypocrit. He hired Pierce last year for the very things that he did not hire Annie for. Joan Rivers is a truly disgusting feline…err I mean human being. No one in the real world would hire someone as confrontational as Joan. This was purely a sympathy hire; old friends, crowd favorite. Get some cahones (sp?) Donald and make the right hire. I, for one, will not be watching next season. All this time invested and he picks Joan Rivers, who walked out on the show?

  15. jess says:

Annie should have went a long time ago—joan is and older woman and already set in her ways so big deal–any older woman would put it to younger females how it is—besides Annie boasted on herself the whole show how much arrogance is acceptable and to those who like Annie I feel sorry for you—Annie is annoying–no wonder she plays poker everything about her is fake–including what type of person she is–people only brag on themselves because no one else does—

  16. Erica says:

Barb I completely agree. I too think the show was staged, at least the end. Ratings or not the show will never have the same amount of viewers. The thing that really got to me was the whole event coordinator thing. They quit because of Joan and Annie still pulled through, and when Donald asked about it and Annie was explaining, (not being able to finish because some old woman has no manners and has to put her 2 cents in and lie) i wondered why Donald didn’t call the event company??? If it had of been anyone else besides Joan Rivers he would have had the company on hold… that would have been ratings, seeing Joan “outed” but he didn’t call because he knew what the answer was and then how could he hire Joan if the accusation was true?and of course they were because we have all seen how Joan treats people. I am honestly say i will never watch the show again. And isn’t the main point of the show raising the most money? Didn’t Annie kick the ass off everyone? and i was a little upset when they said that Joan’s team had more celebrities at the last event, she only had 1 real celebrity the rest were drag queens, and Annie had tons of celebrities they were in the poker world and sports world but to a lot of people they are bigger then that on has been that was at Joan’s event….alright… that’
    s my 2 cents :)
