Rock Week on American Idol 8: a closer look

It was Rock week this week on American Idol 2009 and here we take a closer look. It seemed to be one thing after another going wrong. What can only be described as a series of unfortunate events. According to buddytv.com, it started with a part of the set nearly collapsing.

Oh, and then there was the fact that two hours before the show, stage manager Debbie Williams fell from the retractable staircase and sustained an injury. Williams was then rushed to hospital. These events put a hold on dress rehearsals, so the remaining four contestants didn’t have much time to practice.

Audience members were then told to ignore their tickets and just grab seats where they could, as staff just wanted them to be seated as quickly as possible. It was obvious after, that the staircase was fixed, because host Ryan Seacrest and Gwen Stefani, who will be on the result show went down the same stairs.
