Scrubs Season 9: Would you want it?

Scrubs Season 9: Would you want it?
Season Eight of Scrubs has finally come to an end, and although it looks as though this is the end of the popular television series, there is still a big question mark as to season 9. Although there are no plans for season 9 as a fan of the show I would love to see another season, but would you want it?

Scrubs Season 9: Would you want it?

ABC has not committed to a season nine of Scrubs, but there have been plenty of rumors on the Internet that there is a possibility that the show could be commissioned for another season. We will just have to wait and see.

The show’s writers did a great job in wrapping things up, all the cast got to say their goodbyes, so things have been tied up as if there will not be a season nine.

I am watching the Season 8 finale right now there is 9 minutes left, so I am not sure how it ends but I heard if there is a season 9 the interns will be the main cast I like the interns but I Would so so rather the Original cast I would so watching it then if it’s the interns IDK.

I have to say the way they are ending it I am almost gonna cry, I am going to MISS SCRUBS so much.

I love the wedding, and baby OMG then Christmas. OMG the kids that was amazing

ALL IN ALL I AM GOING TO MISS SCRUBS SO MUCH, AND THE FINALE WAS AMAZING.

    FINALLY A J.D//COX HUG

  • Laura

I’d only want a Season 9 if ZB is in it. How can you have Scrubs without J.D.? You can’t.

  • Anonymous

i must say they nailed the finale. perfect perfect perfect. sam (jd’s son) and izzy (turk’s daughter) engaged, classic! the way jd got dr. cox to finally say how he felt about jd.

as a fan, it seems like they brought everything to a perfect ending….as for a season 9, i have watched the webisodes on abc.com about the interns and i must say they have a great start on things they can do. i just have a feeling that it may turn into a saved by the bell college years, good, but just not the same with out your dr. kelso and jd.

final thought for a season 9, sunni will be the new “jd” and the janitor will be like mr. belding and be there until the show officially ends!

Im a grown fella but i have never cried like that before from a film/ tv show ever, the finale was so intense and emotional and 2 see my fav character/ actor ZB go was heartbreaking lol….

I just hope if it gets rewened that he comes back for some episodes, cuz the show will never be the same or close 2 it without him!!

  • http://www.ldgfx.co.uk bodrul

    This was a good episode
shame it had to come to an end,

and as mentioned before they ended it nicely
only thing that made it suck was knowing that its the last episode. :(

  • Saul

I just finished watching the finally of Scrubs and I/ve seen every episode so I’ve grown to love the show. I almost cried when I watched it. I have to say that I would love a 9th season of the show but if J.D. (Zack Braff) is left and will not or will barely appear in the show I would b upset. Seeing as the show is seen through his eyes (for the most part)the show would not have its “special” qualities.
    Point is it won’t b the same…

  • Trystan

As a healthcare technician, Scrubs has portrayed the most witty and humorous display of comedy I have yet to see. Not only am I able to relate deeply with the events in the show but it is something that people of all professional backgrounds can really connect to and appreciate. JD’s (Zack Braff) monologues at the end of every episode have such great epiphanies and is applicable to so many people, it’s really brilliant work.

The finale was a masterpiece, with everything coming together, and needless to say there were some deep emotions. I would be overjoyed to see a 9th season be produced!

  • Bentendo

The finale of Scrubs was not only an amazing episode, but it was an amazing ending to J.D’s journey through Sacred Heart. He’s grown from a boy of an intern, to a man of a doctor, and a 9th Season covering J.D does infact seem a little pointless now, as much as I’d welcome such a season from being made.

IF, and that’s IF, Season 9 does infact get made, it would have to be what Frasier was to Cheers. And although what made Frasier successful was following one character after Cheers [like perhaps following JD after Scrubs] I could see a different format of Scrubs working.

Just don’t for the love of God keep it as Scrubs, but lacking J.D. Not only would that dampen the emotional ending of Season 8, but it could possibly kill the impact Scrubs has on television.

So really there’s two options, carrying on ‘Scrubs’ with J.D, or starting ‘Scrubs 2.0′ without him. It’s either or neither really…

  • preston hays

Scrubs has been my favorie show for 8 years i would love a season 9. But the ending to season 8 was incredible…i always beleived elliott and J.D. were goonna end up together

  • Ethan

I have seen every single episode of this series and love it. I know somepeople have hated how the series has progressed in that its no longer funny but i love that the story line has taken a more series approach. I would definatly watch a season 9 even without J.D; I think it would be awesome if the interns where there but that Elliot or Turk became the main character. I heard of a possible copy of other shows and having a in/out cast that would be too bad.

  • Anonymous

Unfortunately, Bill Lawrence once said that once we learn the Janitor’s name, it’s over… only sliver of hope is the doubt that it’s the actual name… but with most of the cast getting roles on new pilots…!

  • Mike

i dont want there to be a ninth season. before the finale i did, but the finale was the perfect ending, too perfect. a ninth season would ruin that and end scrubs no a terrible note.

  • Maz

As much as I’d love a 9th season, there’s no way they’d wrap things up like that and then make plans for season 9. All the rumours you’re hearing are just that – rumours.

What spoiled Scrubs for me was JD having a baby with Kim, I thought that was stupid and it annoyed me so much. I know it made for a good ending, but I also hated JD moving away and moving to another hospital. They still could have had a great ending without him leaving.

  • kristina

i didnt like the finale for the 8th season. i knew it was coming to an end, but it all felt really rushed for me, i mean at the end of one episode jd decides to move and then the next episode is the finale? i feel like they rushed it and this season a little bit, but i dont know it definitely did feel like the end, and any other season without jd would simply not be scrubs.

  • http://x360c.com Dan

Wouldn’t be Scrubs without the original cast :(

If season 9 is made and it has different characters i won’t be watching it.

  • Josh

Well I for one dont wish to see a season without J.D. for many reasons, one being that the ending to season 8 was way to perfect. I mean the home movies thing what showed (what looked like) Izzy and Sam engaged as well as The book of love.

  • David

I want there to be a ninth season, but it has to be something spectacular. The eight season had a perfect ending, the problem is that i am not done watching scrubs, i would like to keep it watching for another season. If there is a ninth season, the original cast has to be there if not, i am better of with season eit

  • Adam

Personally i think they wont make a season 9 of scrubs based on seasons 1-8, scrubs was all about 6 main people (look at the cover of the first season) Turk at the back, Bob and Perry in the middle and Elliot, JD and Carla, now obviously JD has gone to the other hospital to be with his son (I hope if Elliot and JD have a baby JD doesnt reject Sam) also Bob has gone back into some sort of practice which means he will be travelling around alot with Enid. So there you have it 2 Main characters have left. I would also like to point out that Scrubs was initially made to follow one person through their years at hospital from intern to what ever they were to become. We have seen this, and what an amazing journey, many thanks to the writers, directors and all the support staff there for making Scrubs the best Medical show made.

  • Jack

scrubs season 9 is confirmed, JD to return for 6 episodes. Turk, Cox and Janitor will be season regulars along with some of the interns from seasons 7,8. Elliot also to return for some transition episodes. Please don’t ruin it.

  • Sean

Scrubs has been renewed for a ninth season with stars Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke signed on for six episodes.[2]

  • Josh

I would love a season nine of scrubs, however if zach braff is not in it along with the rest of the main cast i dont know if i could watch it.

  • Hannah

I think that scrubs should have a ninth season… they left so many questions unanswered:

Will J.D. and Elliot actually get married, or was that glimpse only a maybe?

Will J.D. quit his job and return to sacred heart?

Will Ted and Gooch get married?

    Not to mention more!

  • Zack

Ending is perfect, the reason Turk and JD were so happy about their kids being married was because in the 7th season Turk says “We need to get them married so that way we can hang out all the time!” Made me tear up because my #1 show ended, but what I think MIGHT happen if there is another season is after the kids get married, JD misses Sacred Heart and visit’s, sees that the interns he teached are Attending’s and Dr. Cox retires (I imagine its 8 years in the future) and hangs out with Kelso, maybe Turk convinces JD to come back to work at the hospital, or at least JD visit’s the hospital and has flashback’s of his experiences in Sacred Heart.

I would LOVE to see season 9, Bill, your awesome, keep it up man!

  • Sunny

We loved the whole show and we are going to miss it…But if ZB is not in season 9 it is better if there is no season 9 at all…Scrubs without JD…??? it’s absurd, don’t spoil it, please…and plus to that the ending of season 8 was SPECTACULAR!!!making you wonder and in the same time giving you so many hopes….Great, just Amazing

  • Matt

Scrubs has been one of the best shows on television. But…. its ending was PERFECT. It can and will never be topped. So they should stop while they’re ahead. As much as I love the show, I don’t want it to come back, especially after the perfect ending. It’s over and it was awesome.

  • JD4N13L5

I have already seen the final episode but am now on a 52inch plasma with my internet and am feeling the need to watch it again :)

  • Obsessed

I hav watched all the seasons over and over and love every minute if every character. i couldn’t stand to see JD leave but i am glad JD and Elliot finally got to gether. you can’t have another season without that cast. but you need to keep making more seasons there is so many people that watch and love it that u guys must be rich. anyway i vote with out a #%$@%&# doubt.

  • fran

I think that scrubs without zach would be wierd, and i think that they have left the finle episode of season 8 in such a good place and we all hope JD and elliot stay together and the hole xmas thing will happen. I think that a season 9 would be a huge mistake it has all ended so well and I think it would be a mistake to ruin that. However, i quite like the “derek / denise” storyline, i think if there was to be a season 9 they would be the elliot/JD couple which would be good but they could never replace JD and elliot. and how can there be turk with no JD? That would be so wierd??!! Season 8 ruled and i think they should just leave it at that. xxx

  • Pat

im a really big fan of scrubs and i would love to see a new series but it just wouldnt be the same without JD. What i would like to see is a spin off that would focus on the interns and if that worked they could build it into a new scrubs

  • stephen james lewis

yes there should be a season 9 if only so j.d. and elliot can get married at the end. because after all that is the only thread still left untied from season 8, it would make the perfect ending to the show as a hole.

  • stephen james lewis

but if the producers don’t want to make a new season then why not a t.v. movie once again with the end being j.d. and elliots wedding

please comment as any views would be welcome!!

  • I LUV SCRUBS

I REALLY hope there is a ninth season of scrubs. My fav show ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ryan Williams

i want a scrubs season 9 i don’t like any of the new interns and i would prefer it to do what it done when elliot moved hospitals still involve JD in it keep the centre on sacred heart then at the end of the series JD and Kim get offered a job at sacred heart and they both say yes and move back with everyone but still season 9 of scrubs would be amazing but keep the main cast

  • Anonymous

Ok, so I have never cried for a movie or a TV show before. However, since Scrubs is pretty much an extremely long movie that I personally got attacked I cried a little at the season 8 ending. I am PSYCHED they are going to have a second season. Beyond happy. But I mean, ZB and SC only signed for 6 episodes…The show would not be the same. If they don’t continue Scrubs the same way they always have I will have a TV scar left on my heart.

  • scott

im from england and i got season 8 before it came out here on Tv and i have always loved it. its the only sho i watch. english tv is poor :(

    Season 9;
JD HAS to follow cox’s footsteps and become chief of medicine.
with turk chief of surgery they will rule that place! it would be awesome!!

  • Hannah

I really thought that the season 8 finale was true perfection. And you really can’t have Scrubs without J.D., can you? I will be crushed if they don’t do a season 9, but, if there isn’t one, I will always be left to wonder what happened to J.D., Elliot, Turk, Carla, Dr. Cox, Dr. Kelso, and others. And to me, that means that it was/is a great show. If you never wonder what happens after one of your favourite shows end, then you really didn’t love that show, did you?

  • Callum

Scrubs will never be the same without the original cast, but i think it will still be as good, Denise or “Jo” has signed on has practically the new J.D, Which i think is good, but i want derek to coem and be a regular i liked him, not in a gay way!

  • cam

if there is a season 9 of scrubs theyd hav to get rid of gooch! teds way more hilarious when hes miserable!

  • Craig Forth

I dont think a 9th series will be any good the 8th was very weak and basically finishing it off. If its about the new interns the webisodes where pretty lame. So I think leave it as it is or it will become like friends a people start disliking because its dragged out again and again. Also is Bill Lawrence doing it or is it the studio.

  • kelsey

    I WOULD DEF. WANT IT.
    I LOVE THIS SHOW, (:

  • Megan

I am a HUGE fan of Scrubs and would love to see a new season, but if the main characters aren’t in it then it won’t be the same! JD, Elliot, Turk, Carla, Dr. Cox, etc. are the heart and soul of the sitcom, why would they get rid of them?

  • Amit

Finishing off Scrubs is exactly like finishing off the Harry Potter series: it had to end (and it did in the most perfect way possible) but we, the fans, want more! The last time I cried for a show or a movie since watching the last episode of Scrubs was when I saw Titanic; it was heart-moving! I would absolutely love to see season 9 of Scrubs and I really hope ABC brings back the original characters.

  • Alec

I don’t think they should do a scrubs season 9. Don’t get me wrong i love scrubs and because i live in england i havnt got to watch the last few episodes of season 8. But i think they should do a friends, i mean we have coped with friends finishing but there still on everyday, Just do the same with scrubs, im happy watchin them over and over agen.

  • Alex

As a huge fan of the show, the 8th season was not that great.
Without the original cast, how is a 9th season going to be any good. It’s trying to be like E.R and switch cast and bring people back and that show should have just quit while they were ahead.
    No 9th season

  • http://www.google.com Tommy

Scrubs New Ipisode season 9 , My First day Of School

  • max

i so want scrubs season 9 but if there is no zack braff i am kindi ify i want jd how can there be no jd but if the interns are the leed il check it out the interns are funny but it will be basikly a new scrubs starting at the begining of the first episode like a hole new show basikly ME WANT ZACK BRAFF!!!

  • Dante

If Season 9 includes an entirely new case, then it’s not even worth watching. JD, Turk, Carla, Cox, Elliot, Janitor…and everyone else from the first 8 seasons are the characters that everyone loves the show for! If it just has the new interns, then it’s almost like the new season isn’t even Scrubs, but a whole new TV series.

Plus, JD would have to be there. He’s been the main character for the entire series and for the most part is almost everyone’s favorite person. Taking him out of the picture will be like taking apples out of apple pie. It would be so lame. JD was probably the biggest contributor to what made Scrubs “Scrubs”. You know? If you agree, copy and paste this paragraph in your comment.

  • Dante

Btw I’m not going to lie lol I cried when the last episode ended. I felt like a pussy but I’ve just grown so attached to the show, it’s like that part of a funeral when you look back on the deceased and remember all the joy they brought to your life…that’s almost how I felt lol no joke.
