New Star Trek Movie: How good was it?

Well the new Star Trek movie has finally arrived, and it was not only Trekkies who have been waiting to see the movie, Star Trek looks set to get a new range of fans. There are so many different factors that make this new movie a joy to watch, one is Alias and Lost creator J. J. Abrams, and the second being the casting of Spock, Zachary Quinto.

When you see Quinto, with the pointy ears, he looks scarily like Nimoy, and that is great casting. The previous Star Trek movies did have a couple of good outings, the best being “The Wrath of Khan.” The Star trek franchise had come to a halt so it needed a fresh take, and that is what Abrams does best.

On paper the story sounds good, we have grown up loving Kirk, Spock, Bone and Scotty, so why not see how it all begun for them. We know that Kirk was a bit of rouge, and it is great to see that part of him explored.

There are a few dull moment in the movie, but before you know it, J. J. Abrams has you back on the edge of your seat. I think that this new Star trek movie is the first of many with this new generation of actors.
