Britain’s Got Talent 2009: A closer look at Shaun Smith

Well, I don’t know about you, but I think that Britain’s Got Talent 2009 is just getting better and better. After watching the show I have to say, it is going to be hard to pick a winner. In previous weeks, we have seen talent from Susan Boyle from Scotland to Shaheen Jafargholi from Wales.
Now meet Shaun Smith, a 17 year old A level student and rugby player from Staffordshire. He came on stage and captivated the judges and the audience with his fantastic voice singing “Ain’t No Sunshine.” Shaun got praised by Simon Cowell, who compared him to the singer Mick Hucknall.
According to Right Celebrity, Simon said “I genuinely wasn’t expecting that.” He also impressed fellow judges Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden. Shaun was worried as he had his team mates with him for support. In an interview Shaun said “ I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember.” Have we found a new winner?

All I can say is WOW!!
This young man will go far, I personally have not heard anyone as good as him in a long, long, time (discounting Tom Baxter).
His voice had me absolutely mesmerised. I can not wait to hear more of him!!

Shaun is absolutely amazing. I sincerely hope he does go far because I can’t wait to buy his first album. I can’t believe he refused to audition for the xfactor because he though he wasn’t good enough! Go for it Shaun.
I absolutely adore Shaun. He’s got a great voice, it’s such a pity he didn’t win but he will go far. He’s very cute and if he reads this, best of luck. I’d be rooting for him.
