Cooper: Ricky Hatton call it a day after Manny Pacquiao defeat

Boxing legend, Sir Henry Cooper has said that Ricky Hatton should call it a day after his humiliating defeat against Manny Pacquiao. Hatton also known as the Hitman was brutal battered and knocked out in the second round at the Las Vegas event last weekend.

Ricky Hatton was taken to hospital after the fight, just as a precautionary measure. Cooper believes that it is now time for Hatton to hang up his gloves and retire, this is now his second loss of his career. Cooper told Sky Sports “Ricky should retire – he’s got the tell-tale signs now.”

The boxing legend explains that if you are prepared to take two punches while you only can give one back, then it is time to call it a day. If you go back a few years, Hatton was a different fighter, this kind of thing would never have happened.

If Ricky Hatton does fight again, then it is possible that he could fight Amir Khan.
