NCAA Softball Tournament 2009
It was a great weekend for the NCAA Softball Tournament 2009, as the Georgia Bulldogs have been selected as a No. 1 seed for the Chapel Hill Regional. The team is also sixth overall national seed in the 28th annual NCAA Division I Softball Championships.

WCTV reports that the Chapel Hill Regional, hosted by the North Carolina Tar Heels will take place May 14-16. The 2009 NCAA Chapel Hill Regional will feature third place team in the Southeastern Conference, Georgia. Other teams include, Atlantic Sun Championship winner Campbell and Big South Champion Radford.

64 teams were selected to the NCAA Tournament, 30 conferences were awarded automatic qualification, the reaming 34 slots were filled at at-large selections to complete the bracket. All of the 64 teams will be playing for their right to advance to the 26th NCAA Women’s College World Series; this will take place in Oklahoma City May 28-June 3.
