Adam Lambert May 12 American Idol Performance: How did it help?
There are mixed views on Adam Lambert’s American Idol Performance on May 12, and we have to wonder how it helped with people’s view on him. For some time now Lambert has been the one to beat, and the songs that he had to sing should have did the job.

Adam Lambert May 12 American Idol Performance: How did it help?

This has turned out not to be the case, we mentioned in another post that on his U2 and Aerosmith performances the backing singer was too loud and made it hard to hear Adam. However, should we blame him for that, I think not.

It does not seem to matter about how Adam performed on the night; he has such a huge following that he will certainly make it to the finals. But who will join him, both Kris Allen and Danny Gokey, but I would like to see Allen go through, an all men final would be a letdown for viewers.
Let us know what you thought of Adam Lambert’s performance last night, do you like him more, less or just the same.

Not Adam’s best night for me and I would love to hear the studio recording of the U2 song,’One.’ The first part of the song revealed Lambert’s gorgeous vocals-par-none, and was a litte over sung in the middle, but ended well and was a solid performance. The 2nd song, Aerosmith’s ‘Crying’ was drowned out by a backup singer and there seemed to be audio problems as well that threw him a little off. But if Danny Gokey’s “scream” last week could be forgiven by his fans then this night should be forgiven by Adam fans as well, but it would make a poor first impression by first time viewers who may not have info on Lambert’s previous outstanding performances. I am hoping he will go into the finale next week and be able to pull off a hot one that will take him all the way to the top. I still think he’s totally awesome, vocally and personally.

You Are So Beautiful is one of my favorite songs from Joe Cocker. So I was quite excited when I heard it’s Danny’s choice considering he has the voice for it. But sorry to say, I was not swept off my feet and wondering what the judges are praising him for. I watched and listened over again but to me it was a let down.
Danny’s first song was a non-event. I was hoping he will do justice with it. Maybe if he made the tempo slower, it would have been a sexy danceable number.
So, Danny was forgettable last night.
I agree with the judges about Kris’ rendition of Heartless. It was faultless unlike his Apologize. I would remember Kris after last night because of Heartless.
With ADAM, I can’t find fault. The two numbers are memorable after last night._I would say the contest is who would make it with Adam in the finals. It should be Kris. But we all know, it all depends who got a bigger religious voting machine.

I really miss Allison; I wanted her to be in the top two. I actually looked forward to her performances and now there is less to look forward to. Not to say that I don’t like the three remaining men, in fact, all three are amazing in their own ways. I can’t wait until the show is over and they can all get started on their careers in the music industry.

The sound mix was so bad last night & the backing singer screaming over him was weirdly unnecessary & cringe-worthy. The band were off. It’s like he couldn’t hear himself which I guess is why he yanked his ear piece out during the perf & looked so miffed doing so. If he had loud crap from the band in one ear & the backup singer piped in his other ear, it’s a crazy he even managed to stay remotely focused. You’d think after all these years, they’d have the mixing perfect. Wth.

If your in the U.S. you’ve seen the results show – don’t know about overseas watchers – though some websites have live streaming coverage. Danny’s voters are likely to switch over to Kris. I think everyone was great last week, but I’m an Adam fan from Ring of Fire on. Don’t know if Adam fans can muster enough votes to carry both Danny and Kris voters. I know they’ll try. I don’t look for many Danny voters to switch to Adam, probably not their style of music, to say the least.
