American Idol 2009: Katy Perry and Adam Lambert no secret

Katy knows a SUPERSTAR when she sees one. I just feel sorry for the others that don’t get the same attention. It’s not Adam’s fault he is loved and admired by many not afraid to show it. Simon and Smokey Robinson gave him standing ovations, he has sold more music items than his competition. Adam is getting his name and picture on magazine covers. He didn’t ask he just happened. Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elvis didn’t asked to be adored it just happened!!!

I hate to say it but its no secret the “Gay Community” has a solidarity like no other group. This would explain why a woman who sings “I kissed a girl and I liked it” would be pulling for Adam! Dont get me wrong Adam is very good except like most gay men they tend to be over the top with everything they do (too theatrical) and Adam screams more than he sings.

Well without a doubt Adam is the find of the decade.He is amazing in every aspect of an idol and will be , eventually, an icon if he continues as he has . Katy Perry would be nothing if it wasnt for the true genius Travis McCoy, her boyfriend…he is Gym Class Heroes and his videos are amazing although impossible to find anymore…at any rate, Adam is what i watch Idol for Chris is nice and he has done, all season, maybe 2 or 3 songs that are really nice but Adam never misses a beat . I loved him in younger you tubes as in kiss and tell and wicked and especially his amazingly passionate character Joshua in Ten Commandments He is pure passion and his voice is a miracle of nature and his acts are amazing

also i must say that tracks of my tears and if i cant have you, both took my heart away apparently smokey robinson felt the same way and there were many others of his performances that were phenomenal. i voted for david cook last year because of one song…billie jean. It gave me chills. Adam? gives me chills every single song he does he is the best idol ever on american idol in all these years …he will go far if they free him up to do what he wants. He needs to be free and creative

I still think that Katy Perry was playing with the “He looks just like Elvis!” sentiments among so many of us, and that’s why she had Adam’s name on the Elvis cape. Come on! Can’t everybody see that? Maybe it backfired because some people didn’t get it, but I thought it was very clever!!! Think creatively, friends…

(Shrug) What can the boy say? When you’re good, you’re good and when you’re very nice and cute as well, you’ve probably got a lot of friends. I think he’s awesome, too, and would like to see him win. Check out his studio version of “One”.

you can make a thousand arguments about the kudos handed to adam lambert over the season…that favorites are played…whatever…he is liked by the american public AND the performing arts folks in “hollywood” circles…he is a bit outlandish to some…all truly great entertainers are/were…remember elvis people?…lets face it…he’s been untouchable so far…

I’m in my 50′s and remember Elvis, the Beatles, Michael Jackson and Adam Lambert falls in this same category. He is one in a million and I am thrilled that American Idol found him and is introducing him to the world. He has elevated AI to a much higher standard from here on out. If Kris wins, then it has resorted to being a popularity contest, but if Adam wins – he wins because of his talent, his artistry, his looks … the whole package as Paula said. He deserves this more than any of the contestants. Adam will rock the world! And I will voting like crazy Tuesday night to make it happen.

Love Adams “One” – studio and live performances, love everything he does! If celebrities are for him, it means something! They really do understand more in show buzz and are more exposed to everyday talent so when they see a bright star – it only because the star is really, and I mean, REALLY BRIGHT!

Am watching from Auckland NZ and I must a 100% without a doubt that ADAM LAMBERT deserves to win and absolutely should be the next American Idol and I think every single person in the whole wide world knows that, even those that are related to Kris and Danny. It was obvious right from the beginning; I knew that there was just no competition with him!!! He is perfect … if you know what I mean!!!

Robbie Williams also thinks Adam is “the bestest singer he’s ever heard” ! Takes one to know one!

I will give Adam this, he is a good entertainer, But, he is over the top. he is too fake with all the makeup. kind of a “kiss” wannabe.
Kris has one of those beautiful voices that you could listen to all day.
i think Adam will come out in the end and say he hates rock and plans to do broadway….. lol lol
i hate the way the judges have shown so much partiality towards Adam. i hope it backfires on them.

duh, they are sleeping together. he’s bi-sexual and so is she. if you notice… they BOTH are wearing Elvis wear as they collaborated on their outfits to syncronize that night.

Chewy- Over the top? Isn’t that what this competition is looking for? Someone who will stand out among the rest. An American IDOL? He’s different. He’s crazy. He’s talented. Is that what you’re so against? Kris Allen is pretty much a combination of Jason Mraz, John Mayer, etc. But Adam is unique. Make up? It’s a freaking eyeliner. Have you seen KISS? Funny how someone can take eyeliner and a little black nail polish and automatically compare it to the havy make up that Gene Simmons wears (much love for themthough, i love kiss). But have you heard his covers on: If I Can’t Have You, The Tracks of My Tears? His voice has so much potential. Adam can hit notes that Kris can’t even begin to reach. Granted he is a good singer. But is he what America’s looking for? 2009=Change. Whether you fear it, welcome it, whatever. You’ll have to face it whether you like it or not. Adam also has never been on Broadway and only did plays to pay for bills and such. HE’s always listened to alternative rock. And what’s wrong with that? What’s wrong witha love of music? The judges probably show partiality towards Adam cause they see how much talent he has.
PLus how is he fake? He has an amazing personality. He comforted a crying girl on a sidewalk because she didn’t get a chance to meet him. He’s the one that the other contestants go to for help. Plus, have you HEARD all the feedback he’s gotten from a variety of celebrities. Smokey Robinson, Slash, Led Freaking Zeppelin cleared his song for Adam to sing because he knew Adam could do it justice.

I am sick and tired of people in this world that judge someone before really knowing them.

Adam haters are brain dead. They do not know or understand music and are voting for an image, not a talent. The great Pavaratti sang high C, D, E, and F, two octaves above middle c just as Adam is doing… an extreamly rare ability… I guess some idol watchers do not have the skills to understand that images can be changed or adopted for particular genres, but talent like Adam’s comes from one’s soul and lots of practice. I sense Danny understood that, Danny, as a coral director, could only hope he could find a counter tenor who could sing any song and hit any note with tenderness and control, our out to the heavens with great gusto and spirit. Kris has talent too, but Kris is like a sweet Wandering Minstral who goes from Castle to Castle and plays for Renaissance Royality. We ought to send him a hat with a feather.

Oh please this guy is so far superior to anyone ever on american idol ANY season, that it is pathetic to even mention sexual orientation……..i think Adam just loves everyone…he is so passionate and his music reflects that always…..he could be trisexual for all i care..just give me a good performance and notes and songs that make me FEEEL alive and passionate myself……..he does that for everyone across the board
