Bones Season 4 Finale 2009

Bones Season 4 Finale 2009
What will we do with ourselves soon, as it seems that all the best shows are ending? Last night was the Bones Season 4 Finale 2009. The Huffington Post has been talking to the show’s creator about the season finale.

Bones Season 4 Finale 2009

Last night’s show tried to tie up a few lose ends, as well as creating a few new questions. I have to say that Bones Season 4 finale was a bit of a strange one, we saw Booth seeing Stewie from Family Guy, this was right before the FBI agent was seen masturbating and then being wheeled into surgery.

Then we see Booth and Brennan going undercover to run a nightclub. Oh did we forget to mention that Zach was back. Oh, and we finally see Booth and Brennan have sex, yes that rights, they finally get it on with each other.

I was sooooo disappointed in this episode. I hate, Hate, HATED it. I spent the first ten minutes trying to figure out if I even had it on the right program, the next forty-nine trying to figure out wtf was going on, and the last minute feeling cheated and annoyed.

It looks like the writers just ran out of ideas and had to recycle an old Murder She Wrote episode using the Bones cast.

    Pathetic.

Well, they did not REALLY do it, now did they… :-/ It was a fantasy. That’s not exactly the same as the real thing (obviously). Personally I thought the finale was a huge disappointment. The nightclub thing barely made sense, and I didn’t think it was worth it for those last few moments at the end, which were a gyp anyway. The whole episode was quite the bust, in my opinion. Not that it was done incompetently or anything, that was all fine – but as a longtime fan, it was not what I was hoping for. The producer/writer (his name escapes me) promised that it would be a ‘love letter to the fans’ in one of the interviews – I actually thought it was more along the lines of a suicide note. o_O Its effect was *depressing,* anyway.

(Also, the whole ‘amnesia’ thing – and even the fantasy sequence – was so predictable and cliche; soapy, even. Bones can do way better. That’s why I watch IT, not The Young and the Restless.)

Total waste of time. I have never watched a more disappointing episode of bones. I hate the fact that the producers created so much hype about the fact that Bones and Booth were gonna get together at the end of the season and just left us hangin in the end. Its SO like them. I mean if they didnt have the guts to really get them together in case the show lost its chemistry and all that crap, they shouldnt have opted to disappoint loyal fans of Bones like us!
    TOTAL CRAP!

Personally, I have been a fan since day one and thought that the season finale was brilliant. Yes, it was super confusing at first but it didn’t take long for me or any of the other people in the room to figure out we were in booths head. I thought the monologue through out was very deep and then in the end we find out that she has been typing it this whole time. Having booth lose his memory was such a good idea because its going to give Brennan & Booth a chance over like a chance to make it how it was in his dream. Because through her writing she admitted to herself that she loved him and in his dream he admitted that he loved her. IT WAS AWESOME!

Huh? Watch it again..Brennan was writing another novel…the episode was enactment of chapter of her book. Then she erases it off the computer.
Episode really lasts only 1 minute or so. she erases chapter…he awakes…she comforts a Booth..who apparently has lost his memory…fade to black. season end..
most of the shows last season were a disappointment, not just this one.
whole writer strike thing fallout, trying to cram quantity vs quality down our throats..
TV lately is like throwing pizza on a wall and seeing what sticks.

No, i agree with Charliepalooza. I think most of the things this person has said was what i interpreted!

I think that yes it was a part of her book, but it blended in with what Charliepalooza had said. Except i am not so sure about her confessing her love while typing, but i have to look at that again.

I also believe that maybe they will finally realize how important it is to talk to eachother openly in order to fulfill their true happiness. Though I truely think that booth will realize who she is, but they just used that for a big finish – an OMG WTF is going on? It will really get the fans going and they will then have more excitement for the show to come back on.

I think that in the next episode or next few episodes things will go back to normal, but as a series finale they will finally confess.

This is only one prediction, but it is pretty predictable if you really think about it.

They want the fans to want more – they want more viewers so they put in the twists and they want chemistry. Though they are sort of repeating themselves and dragging it out a little too long.

Tell me if this is confusing – sorry it is so long!

Thanks for taking the time to read my opinion!

This season finale of Bones was a HUGE let down. How can you end a season with a chain of events that don’t make any sense, use every cast character in different roles which is way too confusing, and have the whole thing be fake.

Yes I know that it was obvious that there was some sort of dream going on. I figured that out in the first 5 minutes. Knowing this, however, made the rest of the episode seem pointless and drawn out. I could care less what happens because it’s all a dream anyways. IT DOESN’T MATTER. By the time I got to the end I was so mad that I could care less about Booth and his memory. As a faithful watcher I am very saddened by this catastrophe of a finale.

Bones is my all time favorite program, and I don’t watch much TV. However, I also was very disappointed in the last few episodes, esp. the finale. Is Zack EVER really coming back? Now do we wait til next season and have to start from square one with Booth and Brennan, ex: him regaining memory? I think I would lose interest in this favorite show too if that happens. Since the strike, the shows are so condensed and choppy because of so many commercials, it truly takes away from the story line. I wish they’d listen to us. I hate to see BONES get booted.

agreed it was very confusing at start but it did make sense at the end, although it did just seem like the producers had just ran out of ideas…”I know lets mix EVERYTHING up and then itll turn out to be just booth dreaming…” not the best idea in the world but the end was really sad :( not put me off bones at all LOVE IT XXX :D

Why isn’t bones and booth being friends and partners enough. From moonlight to x files,to stargate sg1, and now bones. Why do the male and female main characters have to hookup. They are completely different, Booth has more in common with Cam. I fear that this memory lose thing is a way for the writers to change Booth and screw up the series.
