Jamie Pugh almost quits Britain’s Got Talent 2009

Britain’s Got Talent has been on for a few weeks now and we have certainly seen some true talent along the way. Take Jamie Pugh for example. He auditioned in episode 4, with a powerful and I’d say moving performance of “Bring Him Home” from the musical Les Miserables.

According to walesonline.co.uk, Jamie has recently revealed how he almost quit the show. This was after a tabloid newspaper branded him a liar and knocked his confidence. Pugh, a 37 year old pizza delivery guy from Wales was said to have even shaved off his goatee to avoid recognition.

Jamie overcame major stage fright to perform on Britain’s Got Talent, with the help of his girlfriend Donna Davies. It was revealed in a newspaper that he had been on stage before despite telling judges he’d never sung in front of a large audience before.

Jamie said in a recent interview that he’s never hidden the fact that he was on a show before, it was that he’d never walked out on stage on his own. He has been coping well with the pressures though and he is preparing himself for the next stage of the talent show.
