The Cannes Film Festival has shown many different types of movies over the years that it has been going and one of this year’s movies “Taking Woodstock” is no exception. According to The Envelope, there certainly wasn’t a shortage of marijuana in the new film.
The movie premiere apparently received some harsh reviews. “Taking Woodstock” focuses on a true story of a family owned hotel and how it was transformed by the influx of Woodstock money, people and attention. So it doesn’t focus on the concert itself as such.
The film was described as having very little of the authentic music, even less of the authentic vibe and enjoyable in places but humdrum in others. On a good side, a critic gave it 4 out of 6 stars and said they enjoyed it. Taking Woodstock was the third English-language film at the festival.
