When it comes to hip-hop, there is something that we all love, and that is the comeback of a great artist. One artist that springs to mind is Eminem, who is back after a four-year break with new album Relapse. Has the album been worth the wait, AllHipHop have decided to give the album a review that it deserves.
While on a four-year sabbatical, Eminem has been through a lot, including a drug addiction and the loss of his mentor and best friend Proof. Relapse is the fifth album from Eminem, and it certainly has a lot to live up to.
We all know that Slim Shady’s world is twisted, and that is evident in the ominous piano on “3am”. Eminem is known for his trademark dark humor, and “Insane” shows that, the song is a story about a child that is being sexually abused by his stepfather.
One thing is certain, Eminem is very deep and Relapse shows that. This is not the best work he has done, but it still holds up with his other albums.
