American Idol 2009 Finale and The Nokia Theatre
It was the American Idol performance show last night and it was held in the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. According to mtv.com, they had someone there that can tell people what it was actually like being there for the live show.

Apparently, it can only be described as like a big church. There were no empty seats to be seen in the huge venue. In comes Ryan Seacrest and says those great words, “This is American Idol.” It has to be more fun to be there rather than watching it on TV.

The audience was buzzing, waiting to see the final two contestants battle it out for the votes. Fans were hanging off the balconies, risking life and limb, just to show off the signs that they had made for their favorites. And people were standing after each song and then sitting again when the judges spoke.

    Seacrest said that not everyone got to vote. I didn’t and neither did my wife. I don’t know what you people did but I think you skewed the results. Kris is about 10% the singer that Adam is. I am through watching. You resemble a wrestling show that the end result is skewed before the performance. I think you people did something to arrange the voting or fouled it up. Shame on you. I have been an Idol fan since day one. NEVER MORE. Tell your producers they just lost many many viewers and I hope they lose the ratings and the revenue. I got on my internet connection to check my email during a commercial and lo and behold one of the media just had to blast it on their site. I wont even watch the rest of your show. Looks like the christian card that Kris played got him Danny votes. Feed them both to the lions. and you too.

    You must be joking. Adam is the best. Get your heads out of your butts. If Kris thinks he was actually the best then he should take a good hard look at himself. AI is dead to us and has no credibility ever,we will never waste our time watching again. ADAM we await your first album or tour. Love and God Bless!!!!

    With no limit on the number of times a viewer can vote and others not being able to get thru at all, AI has never pretended to be a legitimate contest. They only like to give that impression.It’s a fraud whose only goal is to get you to watch it! That being said, it is entertaining and provides unparalleled exposure for those who appear on it. Which is good for them. Kris proved to be very good but has no star power. Adam has it in spades & will far outdraw Kris.

    Well I’m an Idolfan no more. That just about did it. They need to revamp idol and stop with the cute & popularity vote. Anyone who has ears knows that Adam is the winner. He doesn’t need idol – he will be a star now that people have seen him. Chris probably won’t even be a one hit wonder what a waste of time.

    Sorry Guys, but screeching does not justify singing. Does Adam have a good voice, yes, but he forces it and it sounds like screaming. Those glam bands of the 70′s and 80′s are retro and geared to only a small group of people. Remember, we aren’t a country of just tini-boppers. American Idols need to have overall appeal. I hated Taylor Hicks, but he won. He has his audience. Kris will go farther than this. If Jason Marasse can have international stardom, then so can Kris Allen. Let’s face it, Kris has mass appeal or he wouldn’t have won. Personally I think he will become another Keith Urban ( Soulful Country Rock) Someone got it right.

    After the emotional anger passed, my logical brain started.
    My wife and I (2votes) tried for the solid 4 hours to get through. Busy always. At 3 minutes to go I got through. Here’s the rub. HOW CAN ADAM LOSE WITH ALL HIS LINES BUSY FOR THE ENTIRE VOTING TIME?. IT IS THE PRODUCERS RESPONSIBILITY TO SEE AND MAKE SURE IT IS A FAIR AND COMPLETE VOTE.Either some computer wizard compromised Adams lines, OR IDOL IS A COMPLETE FRAUD. AN INVESTIGATION IS IN ORDER AND DEMANDED. I FOR ONE WILL NOT EVER WATCH IT AGAIN UNLESS AND UNTIL I SEE A LOGICAL SATISFACTORY ANSWER. Other than that It needs Seacrest replaced and Paula replaced . They are both negaties on the show. I wonder if Kris had a stroke from his mouth being all cockeyed. No talent there. ADAM IS DESTINED TO BE A MEGA SUPERSTAR. IDOL IS DONE FOR ME AND I SUSPECT A LOT OF OTHERS.

    Both Kris and Adam are winners, and its unfortunate that one of them had to be eliminated. But I beleive the difference was that Kris appealed to a larger portion of the viewing audience where Adam only appealed to the hard rock side. A great singer and performer, and we will hear from him again. But, that narrow appeal cost him the title to a strong contender.

    We have just completed a season of Idols in SA, they had the final winner announced and …. three days later the networks own up to not being able to cope with the pathetic 2 500 000 votes compared to 100 000 000 in america …. needless to say the runner up was the winner. SO they gave them both the idols crown NOW how do you have 2 idols.
    Could this not be the case cause lets face it as controversial as Adam was he was from day ONE a star danny too they were the 2 everyone talked about and remembered yet Kris who was “dark horse” won … come on where ever there is controvesy someone pre-decides the winner. Adam will become successful from Idols, we will see Kris like most of the previous top idols have one hit and then disappear, so winner or not Adam and Danny were unforgettable !

    i love kris allen i am from arkansas and he is my kind of guy!! he is so hot nice southern boy and most of all he has God in his life! not to mention he is a great singer so that is why he should hav e won and did Go KRis!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-)

    AMERICA you got it wrong. I have only watched to hear ADAM perform, by far the best singer this season. I will no longer watch A.I. but look forward to buying ADAM’S first release.

    Don Smith…I agree with EVERYTHING you said in both messages. I had to LOL about your comment regarding Kris’ crooked mouth! I was always an avid AI watcher, but no more. Without a doubt, Adam was robbed and deserved to win…but he doesn’t need the title to succeed.

    My husband and I are retires and grandparents so I am old enough to have seen and heard a lot of good vocalist in my day. This result is not right! I have been a viewer of IDOL from the beginning but no more! When you loose experienced viewers you are in trouble. Adam Lambert is the best vocalist I have had the pleasure of hearing since the first time I saw and heard ELVIS as a kid! I feel sad that Kris won because of Adam’s possible sexual preference and the desire of many religious fanatics to not have ADAM as the 2009 Idolfor that reason. As a true professional, ADAM did not address it and shouldn’t have. This young man will have a fantastic career.

    I’ve been an Adam’s fan from the start. He definitely has what it takes to be the next ‘king’! He has the spirit of Elvis Presley in him, just looking at him at a glance when he style his hair up. Although I’m disappointed that Adam didn’t get the title but he’s definitely made an impression to those who’s watched him. He’s a star that will go really far. Go ADAM! You’ve got what it takes to live your dreams!

    Don’t you think that if Adam was that good he would have made it before American Idol. He tried and never went anywhere, had professional training since he was a kid. Kris was a natural get real!!!

    I am an Indonesian and enjoy watching AI very much each year.
    The reason that I try to come home early every Wednesday evening is to hear Adam sing. And when he lost, it is just unbelievable.
    Yes, he might not appeal for the masses due to the strange getup, but listen to his voice………and compare it to Kris……..
    I do not think I will watch AI again next year, so disappointing.
