American Idol: David Cook's 'Permanent', iTunes and cancer
David Cook, who was the “American Idol” winner last season, appeared on last night’s finale show, in which he performed his new song “Permanent.” According to examiner.com, it was a beautiful song that was played on piano with great vocals added.

And what is actually the great thing, is that after the show you can actually go to iTunes and download the track. Then all the money raised from the download will be going to a charity called ABCSquared, which is a cancer foundation.

This obviously means a lot to singer David cook as his brother passed away from brain cancer not that long ago. As we mentioned in a previous post, David made the announcement of his brother’s death at the Washington D.C. Race for Hope 5K at the beginning of May.

David Cook is a beautiful, gracious, caring, unassuming, talented man who we adore so much!!! His performance of “Permanent” was the best thing on Idol last night. I can’t wait to help David’s cause and buy it on Itunes. He truly is an American Idol.

He said that “this performance will be available on ITunes immediately after the show” and 20 hours later, it still is not there. I’m wondering who got the message mixed up (Cook thinking it was the video or ITunes thinking it was the song)

David Cook’s performance of Permanent last night was PHENOMENAL to say the least!! His emotions were so real, so raw, and made us cry like little babies! lol!

He’s SUCH an amazing singer and more importantly, an amazing human being!

I bought the song and plan to buy it more!

It was the best performance that night..
even Simon was the first judge to stand up after that performance.
But i think the finale is complete failure,
totally awful..nothing compared to the last season where i think is the best finale ever.
