Happy with who won American Idol 2009?

Are you kidding? Allen did not win because people thought he was more current. He was the \”safe\” pick, if you know what I mean, and the tweeny boppers who voted him AI winner. we all know who the real world champion is. He\’s the one with the outrageous vocals, the ultimate performer, the creative one, the articulate, smart, extraordinary one – ADAM LAMBERT: The one who has \”IT!\” Even Allen was embarrassed to accept the title, not because he is so humble, but because he knows deep in his heart that he doesn\’t deserve it. And so does the rest of the planet – the ones that have any sense.

Adam Lambert grew up in musical theatre…his chances of finding work elsewhere with his talent are pretty high.Besides, he is so “Good Charlotte” to me. His look is really outplayed. I grew up in Southern California and am sick of seeing the same performers from that area- do something new!( Maybe don’t wear tons of eyeliner and skinny jeans like the rest of the so- cal populous?) Kris on the other hand, has raw talent. I wouldn’t say his sound is 100 percent new, but at least it is something I can enjoy that hasn’t been done over and over and over again.

I personally believe that Danny G. was meant to win this year’s Idol Contest, but after Adam beat him out, I was absolutely disqusted and therefore, I believe that the American people chose the right Idol winner.

No matter who won last night, they are both going to be sucess full. And for those of you who think Adam should have won.. look at the 2nd season when Ruben won… Clay is still in the spot light

I’m so angry with AmIdol that I am refusing to watch the program in the future. Is there any question in anyone’s mind that Adam had the better singing voice? No more Idol for me. I can use the hour per week on more constructive fare.

Kris earned his win! He has the “whole” package. And, I wish the media would stop calling this an “Idol upset!” It makes it sound like the choice was a mistake. Kris is very talented and deserves this title.

The runner-up always gets more fame anyway, so it doesn’t matter. They both have amazing talent and both will be very famous.

Adam lambert deserved the title…no one cud even come close to him…its a singing competition and Adam was the best singer without a doubt…I’ts really sad !!!!

Congratulations to Kris, although I am truly disappointed that Adam didn’t win. I think he is a great showman, a terrific singer and performer (also good looking). I think Adam could be the next Freddy Mercury! By the way I’m a 60 year old granny. Adam you rock!

That’s ridiculous. Kris is a predictable,super regular kid. It doesn’t surprise me that a bunch of American’s voted for regular. Adam’s the better world wide idol. I’ll bet his career will take off now that he’s had exposure.

I am not happy with who won i was in cheering for Adam Lambert at home not just cause he’s from San Diego but cause i really thought that he has talent I mean everyone was saying he was gonna win… well not everyone but I got my hopes up for nothing well i’m not against Kris but I still think he should of won well Kris won END of story but I think Adam will get a big place in the industry of music.

Kris Allen did deserve to win i love his vocals he inspires me to continue sing. Adam is also good but an american idol is someone who’s versatile and Adam’s voice is for hardcore rock alone in my eyes so he should keep going in that direction but who cares he’ll be signed anyway. BUT Kris your the man your awesome and you deserved to win for sure but just so you know Kris you were always my second choice the real man is DANNY GOKEY. It had to be DANNY GOKEY and KRIS ALLEN in the finals in the first place not Adam.

Kris and Adam represent two completely different styles of singing. Adam has a fabulous upper range that is more suitable for Broadway…I can’t imagine listening to an entire album of Adam but I would love to go to a Broadway show with him as the star. Kris is more of a musician with a voice that I believe is more suited to the pop world. American Idol is about pop music so it seems fitting that Kris Allen would win it. I see tremendous potential with Kris Allen and believe we will see him outpace any previous male AI winner to date in terms of record sales and definitely concert tours. It is my personal belief that he is as deserving of this win as Adam would have been. I would think as Americans we can all appreciate the honor in being good sportmans, not sore losers who try and belittle those who didn’t necessarily hold the same views as themselves.

Isn’t this result an EXACT repeat of last yr — when David Archuleta (did I spell his last name rt?) lost out (or was that attributable to the “kiss of death” by Simon Cowell who was bowled over by Archuleta’s finale performance last yr ?)

How far is the current winner gonna go ? Will he end up like Taylor Hicks, AI winner, releases one album and gets dumped by the label ? And how is David Cook faring after taking the title last yr ?

I’ve been watching avidly from the UK.
The finale is on here tonight but I couldn’t wait that long to find out, now I know I’m shocked!
Adam Lambert is far and away the best I have seen on any of these shows whether it be in the UK or US!
What were you thinking America?

C’mon…it’s unbelievable…Adam was by far the best contestant – original, fun, stylish, amazing vocals. In all 3 songs on the final day the emotion and excellence- there’s no match to that. Winning combination – that’s what Adam is & he was the Idol right from the start.

Adam Lambert was by far the best on every level. My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the results….but not to worry b/c we think Adam will have an incredible career. Adam lost very gracefully on Wednesday night and that takes a lot of character. I think he and Kris are good buddies which is great.
Kris Allen, a humble and talented young man, is simply not the same caliber as Adam. In fact, I would have arranged the final four this way: #1 Adam, #2 Danny, #3 Allison, #4 Chris. Adam electrified this year’s American Idol and upped every other performer’s game. Adam is highly original and has the most incredible voice, in timbre and range as well as emotional expressiveness. And, he is a great performer and entertainer. He is not just a rocker, as some have said, but can sing a tender ballad as well. He showed many different sides and did surprise us every week, that is for sure. My husband and I are in our late 50′s and don’t have the patience to vote, so I guess we are amongst the silent majority who could have made a difference for Adam… Sorry Adam, but we very much look forward to watching your career and purchasing your music.

American Idol is BS!!! So Rigged there was no competion between the two. Its just going to be another 2nd place person who will make it bigger than the winner. Clay Aiken or Rubbin Studdar? wonder who was the better there/ who is actually popular? this is no different… the winner should be the best and clearly he’s not. adam should have won. I tried to vote and the lines were busy for all 4 hours!! My fried was for chris and she was able to vote and vote and vote for him but i couldn’t get through. i thought that it was because so many people were voting for adam. I am begining to wonder why i couldn’ get through. i wish the were give us the exact figures. another fried of mine for adam couldn’t get through either. i would have voted at least 100 times but i couldn’t get through did an one else have that trouble

IT WAS ALL FIXED. Why did Kris win he’s UGLY and he can’t sing properly. Adam deserved it nobody can sing that Adam can. I’m so upset that he didn’t win. And if u have the final recorded have a look at when he sang the song he can’t even sing it, I’m now so depressed Im never going to watch American Idol ever again.

Also isnt it a singing competition because Adam has unbelievable vocals but I think that the public voted 4 Kris on pure sympathy

lol yeah i figured adam lost because my mom didnt talk about it, she had her heart set on adam. chris has a really great voice but adam has more to offer i think. but i wouldnt have made him first because it seems to me that the best singers get second and end up getting the spotlight, thats just how it works. the best decisions for both their careers was made, adam will obviously get signed and chris, well he won so that goes without saying.

I have nothing against Kris, he is cute and has a great voice, but it comes down to what you like. It’s like saying Kris is an orange but I didn’t vote for him because I like apples.

I loved Adam’s performances and the last night was the icing on the cake seeing him sing with Brian May.

The majority of voters obviously go for the safe choice, nothing too adventurous. That was Allison’s downfall too.

The top five were all talented and will probably do well in the future.

Kia Ora People, i live in beautiful New Zealand, i was shocked that Adam Lambert didn’t take the title out, yes i agree that him and Kris have very diferent talents, but Adam clearly took the world by storm, they shouldv’e just taken Adam off the show after a few weeks of performing and given him a recording contract..Ive seen alot of series of A/I and Adam is the best ive seen since carrie underwood….Adam will make it where ever his path takes him, and he will rock the stage, and the world….

When I listened Adam L. singing it made me remember Axl Rose G&R, no doubt he should won it, cos after pontencial Gods´vocals, his vocals only. And please stop keeping comparing the packages, cos kris is a away long with what God gave to Adam, so wake up and keep your eyes well opened, something happened in there, Simon tell us the truth don´t be shadow for us and answer me how much they paid for you to put up kris so high, cos between us he didnt deserve at all.

Oh my god . You REALLY think Kris was more current than adam? Wow. Adam is the most “now” kinda guy you can get. Adam also has the most amazing voice ive ever heard. Even people like Celine dion dont have that great of a range. Adam has talent and style (and fyi i have nothing againt his gayness…im still w him 100%) and i was hoping for him to win- but im not saying kris ISNT all those things. I did vote for adam 100 times that night ( i counted ), i ordered his album as soon as i woke up the day it came out, and i have all the songs from his idol journey on my ipod.
