
The Jonas Brothers have decided to kick off their South American tour in Peru and according to Associated Press, riot police had to be called out to control the crowds. Hundreds of young girls were gathering outside the hotel where the Jonas Brothers were staying.
There will be thousands of other screaming fans at the group’s world tour premiere. The young boy band will be performing two concerts in Peru as their Mexico concert had to be postponed due to the swine flu epidemic. The first of their Lima concerts sold out within hours.
Around 60,000 fans are expected for each show. Police had to block off traffic on Sunday as more than a thousand fans met Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas at the oceanfront Marriot Hotel. And there was even dozens of girls who actually slept in a park outside just to be near their idols.
