Now that “American Idol” is over and Kris Allen has been named as the 2009 winner, the singer can start to enjoy married life. Kris was interviewed backstage on Wednesday night and the singer said he couldn’t wait to spend some time with his wife, Katy Allen.
According to aceshowbiz.com, the couple married in September last year, but the last nine months have been manic for Kris since auditioning for American Idol. Kris will now be able to concentrate more on married life. When talking about his wife the singer said “She’s amazing. She’s just the coolest chick in the world.”
Kris will now go on to sign a recording contract and then release an album. When he was asked about his winning speech, in which he said Adam deserved to win, Kris said “I actually feel that. He deserves this just as much as I do.”
