The sequel “Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian” has just come out in cinemas and I must say, as someone who has just gone to watch it recently, I think it’s a great movie. But according to mercurynews.com, not everyone thinks the same.
The film is a wacky comedy that stars Ben Stiller again as the night watchman Larry Daley and Hank Azaria as a lisping Egyptian. Which I must add, he played well. This time the action isn’t at New York’s Museum of Natural History, but at the Smithsonian and there are more displays to come to life.
At one point in the film, there is a scene where Ben Stiller’s character is being slapped in the face by two monkeys in a Three Stooges style routine. It was described as kind of funny if you are only 9. The film also stars Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais and Amy Adams.
We also saw Christopher Guest appear as Ivan the Terrible and Amy as spunky flier Amelia Earhart. Her character helped Larry in his quest along the way. The film has been described as too busy, with too many characters and not much fun, but I thought it was great.
