O. J. Simpson Appeal

There has been much media hype over the years about former football star O. J. Simpson. First we had the story of him killing his wife, for which he was acquitted after a sensational trial. And then the 61-year old was found guilty of kidnapping and robbery last October.

Well, according to Reuters, Simpson has recently appealed to the Nevada Supreme Court to throw out his kidnapping and robbery conviction. He was sentenced back in December to 33 years in prison, but in his appeal recently he claimed he was denied a fair trial.

According to Simpson, this was through insufficient evidence and a lack of racial diversity amongst the jury. He is currently serving his sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada and is apparently not eligible for parole until 2017.
