I must admit, I am not always a lover of animation films, but when I was at the cinema and saw a trailer for the new Pixar movie “Up,” I thought it looked quite funny. And according to The Washington Post, this will be Pixar’s tenth feature film and apparently lives up to the movie’s name.
When the movie opens, we see a young boy called Carl Fredricksen watching a newsreel about an adventurer. Then the movie goes to seventy years later. And now Carl, who is voiced by Ed Asner is a bespectacled curmudgeon who decides to fly his whole house to South America.
When his house is threatened by development he decides to tie thousands of balloons onto his house and it flies away. But he accidentally stows away an 8 year old Wilderness Explorer name Russell. It is funny to see how their friendship grows. The movie has a lot of humor and adults and kids alike will enjoy.
