Aidan Davis vs. George Sampson: Britain’s Got Talent 2009

You must take into consideration though that they both dance different styles. George is a breakdancer/BBOY, whereas Aiden does more of the pop and lock styles and the liquid form of dancing.
Im sure if you asked Aiden to do breaking, he wouldnt be able to. Same goes for George doing pop/locks. They both have their strengths, both excellent choreograph very very well. I think instead of dancing against each other, they would compliment each other very well. I hope they dont form a rivalry but it would be more interesting to see them for a united performance!
Both for their ages, they are excellent and commend Aiden for another brilliant performance tonight!
I will be voting for him in the final. Good luck to all the dancers namely Diversity and Flawless!

George is better then aidan, just look at the semi-final performance of George the dancing in the rain one and that of aidan’s to remind yourself. George’s performance was the best I dn’t feel Aidan will be able to top it although he myt win it George is better overall!!!

Hahaha! This is ridiculous, George Sampson is WAYYYY Better. George has way more dance moves and way more to offer overall. Not saying Aidan isnt good but people need to see that Aidan isnt up to George’s standard and they both shouldnt even be compared anyway!!

i’m tired of people making excuses for GS by saying that they dance different styles — i’ve seen plenty of break dancers perform to be able to see that GS is totally average. I always thought he was overrated, and him winning last year’s competition was a joke really. as was his “triumphant”return to BGT the other night – he didn’t even make the final flip and banged his head against the wall! it was shameful – i’ve seen that move executed flawlessly so many times by totally unknown dancers…

They’re both amazing dancers. People who think George Sampson is better have there own opinion and people who think Aidan Davis is better have theirs. Everyone has their own opinion about people, personallyi dont like George Sampson, but that dosent mean he isn’t a good dancer, you might not like but hes still a great dancer. They both have a talent, they have different styles of dancing, and George has more experience in dancing than Aidan. Aidan is the far better of the two. Gerorge os average. His ‘singing in the rain’ performace was not as good as it was described as. The idea of it was genius, but the dancing wasn’t. Although Aidan didn’t have the greatest of idea’s for his performance, he still gave me goose bumps from how good his actual dancing was. He is also younger and has a better way with him. I know what people are saying when they say they both dance different styles, but many people can dance like George. It is very rare to see someone dance like Aidan, and pull it off as he does.

Aidan has got nothing on George. Although they do slightly different styles of dance, George is clearly better. For example, if you got Aidan to breakdance, I bet he wouldn’t be able to, but if you got George to pop etc. he can do it (he has videos on his bebo site showing you how to do popping etc). Put it this way, if Aidan was better than George, then he would’ve won, like George did. But he DIDN’T, he didn’t even get in the top 3.

You have to remember that Aidan has only been dancing for about a year and already he’s very nearly as good as George who has been dancing for several years. If Aidan keeps progressing at the rate he currently is he’s going to be MiLES better than George is at his age. You can’t really say that George is better because he won because the standard of talent was much lower last year than it was this year. If George was up against the competition of this year i don’t think he would’ve won.

I agree with some comments: George and Aidan have different styles (Aidan popping/locking; George breakdancing). They are both talented, they’re amazing dancers and they seem very nice as a person.

George didn’t give up in the BGT2; he came back, danced and won. I loved his Dancing in The Rain performance, it was breathtaking!
My favorite Aidan’s show was his performance at castings to BGT3 – low, low, low . He showed that he has talent.

But well, George had dance lessons and he dances for a quite long period of time; he has his own group, A2AA, so now he’s a very famous street dancer in UK .
Aidan said that he has never taken any lessons; he was inspired by George; he was learning how to dance by himself. That is just unbelievable.

I think George won because he didn’t give up and because most of teenagers in UK love him ;P (+ of course, he has talent!). Aidan didn’t win, because the level in BGT3 was just incredibly high.

They’re both equal. None of them is better. Sometimes people are just voting for one of them, because he’s “cute, hot, fit, and I love him”. Any other reasons?

Well, anyways I wish them both good luck in the future. They are my inspiration and they always gonna be!

George Sampson just depends on gimmicks to look good. He's actually quite average for a dancer. But Aidan is FANTASTIC! BTW he was only 11 when he auditioned (now he's 13) but he could wipe the floor with George. And can I just say, when I first saw Aidan in his black outfit and watched him dance, he looked SOOOOOO cute!!! Well, actually he IS SOOOOOO cute. Period.
